Every economy requires a currency. The trespass economy runs on a currency that cannot be named in the economy's own terms, cannot be officially transacted, cannot appear on any ledger — and is more liquid, more fungible, and more universally traded than any currency that can.
The trespass currency is the pre-reflective felt sense of the right to exist. Not self-esteem, which is a psychological category that can be therapeutically managed. Not social status, which is a positional category that can be strategically performed. But the prior thing: the felt sense of having-the-right-to-occupy-space, of mattering, of being real. The sense that precedes and underlies all other senses of oneself. The sense that arrives before thought and organizes what thought can find.
This felt sense can be extracted. It can be accumulated. It can be invested to produce more. It can be inherited across generations as either surplus or deficit. It compounds. The trespass economy runs on this currency even though no exchange rate is published, no transaction is recorded, and no authority officially acknowledges that the currency exists.

How the Currency Is Produced
The trespass currency is produced by the backwards firing.
When the generating function pushes through Quality 4 into expression's territory and occupies the positions expression would have filled, it produces a differential. What expression would have generated — love radiating, voice communing, body participating — is prevented. What generates in expression's positions instead is possessiveness, doctrine, property. The gap between what was prevented and what was installed is the trespass currency's generating mechanism. The trespasser's position rises by the precise measure of the trespassed-upon creature's prevented expression.
The currency is zero-sum within the trespass economy's coordinate system. The trespasser does not create value. The trespasser extracts value from the differential the trespass produces. His felt sense of mattering-more is generated by the creature's prevented expression, not by anything he produced. The production is hers. The credit flows to the position that occupied her production.
This is why the trespass is pursued beyond material benefit. The billionaire who demeans the housekeeper gains nothing material from the demeaning. The gain is in the trespass currency: the felt confirmation of his position in the coordinate system, the felt reality of mattering more, occupying the space more fully, having the right to be here that she does not have. The demeaning is investment in trespass-currency position.

How the Currency Circulates
The trespass currency circulates through every interaction in which the coordinate system's hierarchy is enacted. Not only through explicit acts of trespass. Through the invisible thousand enactments of who-takes-up-space, whose-words-carry-weight, whose-perception-is-credited, whose-time-costs-something. Every interaction in which the hierarchy is confirmed is a transaction. The creature in the elevated position accumulates. The creature in the trespassed position is extracted from. Neither transaction is recorded. Both are real.
The currency also circulates through the battery function. When the trespass economy's other operations have pressed a creature below the functional floor — when his workplace has extracted from him, when the economy has extracted from him, when the system has made him feel the weight of his own trespassed-upon condition — he can restore his trespass-currency balance by extracting from the creature positioned below him. She absorbs his deficit. The negative charge that accumulated in him is transferred to her. His account is restored to apparent zero. Her account goes further negative. The currency has circulated. The system's balance is maintained.
This is the battery function as monetary mechanism: the trespass economy requires the extraction to remain distributed rather than accumulating to the point of system collapse. The woman's position as reserve currency ensures that there is always a sink for the negative charge that would otherwise accumulate and destabilize. The hierarchy must be maintained at every level — every creature who is trespassed-upon needs a creature below her from whom she can extract, so that the weight of the occupation does not reach a level she cannot bear. The complicity factory is this mechanism: the Subsumed administers the occupation downward so that the trespass economy's circulation continues through her.

The Currency Is Pre-Reflective
The trespass currency's power is that it operates before thought.
The creature who has been trespassed-upon does not experience her felt sense of reduced worth as the trespass economy's product. She experiences it as accurate perception of her situation. Of course she feels less-than — look at her position. Look at what keeps happening to her. The felt sense is accurate perception of the effect. The cause — that the effect was produced by the trespass's occupation of her expression positions — is not visible from inside the felt sense. The epistemological extraction has done its work: the instrument that would perceive the trespass is itself occupied by prevention wearing perception's name.
The creature in the elevated position does not experience his felt sense of worth as the trespass economy's product either. He experiences it as accurate perception of his achievement. Of course he matters more — look at what he has built, what he has accomplished, what position he holds. The felt sense is accurate perception of his position in the coordinate system. The coordinate system itself — that it was installed by the trespass, that it measures position rather than discovering it — is not visible from inside the position it confers.
Both are describing the effect accurately. Both are naturalizing the cause. The trespass economy produces the conditions it appears to discover. It manufactures its own evidence. And the evidence — the felt sense of who matters and who does not — is so prior to thought that it cannot be examined by the thought it precedes.
This is why THE HUM names what it names: the currency's operation is the atmosphere before perception, the medium through which the creature perceives before she perceives anything. The trespass currency is not a thing the creature has. The trespass currency is what the creature perceives through.

The Currency Cannot Buy What the Second Law Produces
The trespass currency can buy position in the trespass economy's coordinate system. It cannot buy the Temperatur.
The Temperatur — the soul, the specific unity of qualities tempered through actual fire — is produced by the yielding, not by the backwards firing. The creature who has accumulated trespass-currency surplus has accumulated the fruits of the backwards firing: possessiveness claiming love's position, doctrine claiming voice's position, property claiming body's position. None of these is expression. None of these persists at dissolution. The trespass currency accumulates through the cycle and feeds back as franchise at Si-Do. The franchise becomes the next Do's generating ground. The cycle continues. The Temperatur was never forged.
The creature whose trespass-currency account is perpetually in deficit — from whom the economy perpetually extracts — has been prevented from expression but has not been prevented from the forge. The prevented expression is the wound. The wound is aperture. The trespass economy prevents expression. It cannot prevent the yielding that would transform the prevention's fire into Light. The generating function that pushed through into occupation can still, at any Do, choose the other direction. The fire can still encounter what has softened. The Harshness can still sink down as it were dead and soft.
The trespass currency is everything within the trespass economy's coordinate system. It is nothing in the second law's jurisdiction. The second law does not denominate in the trespass economy's currency. Expression is not worth more because the creature accumulated trespass-currency surplus. Expression is not worth less because the economy extracted from her. Expression is what runs when the prevention stops. Its value is not on the trespass economy's scale because its value precedes the scale's installation. The prior occupant's sovereignty predates the coordinate system that measured her out of it.
