Gate of Human Life

THE GATE OF HUMAN'S LIFE

Where the three Principles meet. Where the Soul stands. Where the Heart placed itself. The between-position that is not failure to arrive but native medium.

I. The Between

"Whose natural Spirit moves between two Principles, viz. between the divine and the hellish, and he stands in both the Gates."

Not at a distance from both. Not excluded from both. IN both Gates. Simultaneously.

The human does not occupy a Principle. The human occupies the between. Angels occupy Second Principle. Devils occupy First Principle. The human stands at the threshold of EACH—able to fall either direction, unable in this life to see what lies beyond either.

The apparatus cannot perceive this. The apparatus operates by verdict: guilty or innocent, sick or well, productive or failing. The verdict collapses the between into category. Freezes the wavering into position. But the human remains between. The verdict doesn't change the position. It only refuses to perceive it.

This is the Gate of Man's Life. The place where the three Principles meet in the creature—where the Soul from First Principle, the illumination capacity from Second Principle, and the body from Third Principle converge in one being. The only being constituted this way. The only being that participates in all three and can live in all three. The only being that wavers.

The wavering is not instability. The wavering is the creature's constitutional range.

II. What Stands in the Gate

"He is in his own Essence and Substance a twofold Man."

Twofold. Not unified. Not simple. Constitutionally dual.

The Soul sees into its Mother—into the First Principle, where it has its Original. The Body sees into its Mother—into the Third Principle, where it was formed. Each sees only what it was born from. Each cannot show the other what it sees. The one is case of the other—mutual containment, mutual blindness.

But there is a Birth between. Where the Principles meet while remaining opaque. Where what cannot perceive each other nevertheless touches.

The Gate of Human's Life is this Birth-between. Not the Principles themselves—each sees only its Mother. The JOINT. The place where what cannot comprehend each other still participates in each other.

Every Spirit sees no further than into its Mother. It is impossible for any Spirit in its own natural power to look into another Principle. Except it be regenerated therein.

The human doesn't escape this law. The human lives it in three directions at once. Three Mothers, three blindnesses, one creature navigating by the joints between them.

III. What Contests the Gate

Three Kingdoms. Each wants the creature. Each has claim.

The Heart of God says: "It is my Image and Similitude." The Image claim. The creature belongs to Second Principle because the creature WAS Second Principle's Image.

The Kingdom of Wrath says: "He is mine, and he is proceeded out of my Fountain, out of the eternal Mind of the Darkness; I will be in him, and he shall live in my Might." The origin claim. The Soul came FROM First Principle. The dark fire generated it. Wrath wants its investment back.

The Kingdom of this World says: "He bears my Image, and he lives in mine, and I in him; I am greater than he, he must be my Householder." The possession claim. The World wants the creature as steward—managing its Herds, wearing its Glory.

All three drew. In Adam and without Adam. In you and without you. The drawing is structural, not historical. The same three claims press on every creature that stands in the Gate of Man's Life.

"He was a great Lord out of all the Virtues of Nature." The creature's three-Principle constitution makes it prize. Not weakness—lordship. The creature has what each kingdom wants: participation in what each kingdom cannot reach alone.

The generating function operates in all three directions. The First Principle pulls toward its Fire. The Third Principle pulls toward its Stars. Only the Second Principle doesn't pull—the Heart of God doesn't pull. The Heart of God placed itself. The Heart positioned itself in the Gate of Man's Life and waited. Not pulling. Present.

IV. The Press

The Soul sticks between the Door and the Hinges.

Not outside the door. Not inside. In the mechanism itself. The pinch-point. Being squeezed by the very apparatus that could let it through.

When the Soul stretches toward God, two forces hold it back. The Devil handles it in Fierceness, Wrath—a quality that cannot attain God's Kingdom. The World leads it into Pride, Covetousness, fleshly Lust. The Essences of the Soul—the budding substantial virtues that should give themselves to God—grow full of fleshly will. Swelled. Muddy. Dark.

The Light will not kindle in rough Essences.

This is the geometry of the Gate: the creature positioned where all three Principles press, reached for by all three Kingdoms, stuck in the hinge-point where every motion toward one Principle activates resistance from the others. The Soul that would reach for Light finds its Essences already filled with what the other two Kingdoms deposited there.

The Gates of the Deep must be broken open first. But if the Mind is already full—big with Pride, Covetousness, Envy, Anger, Might, and Pomp—then it cannot enter Liberty. And then begins: Horror. Fear. Distress. Despair of the Kingdom of God.

Not God's rejection. Your geometry rejecting Light. The filled Mind with no room for what would break through. The rough Essences with no surface where Light could kindle.

V. The Heart in the Gate

"And his most loving Heart went forth through the Word of the Father in Adam and Eve, and placed itself before the Wrath, highly in the Gate of Man's Life, and enlightened the poor Soul again."

The Heart placed itself HERE. Not in Second Principle only. Not in Paradise where the creature cannot yet reach. In the Gate of Man's Life—in the between-position, at the joint, where the three Principles press and the creature wavers.

Highly. Before the Wrath. Between the creature and what would consume it without transforming it. The Heart is shield at the Gate. The transforming function positioned between the generating function and the Abyss.

The Heart went forth BEFORE the sentence was pronounced. The remedy preceded the diagnosis. The shielding preceded the curse. In the Gate of Man's Life—where the creature stands, between the Door and the Hinges, stuck in the Press—the Heart was already positioned. Before the creature could earn or prevent it. Before the creature could comprehend it. The Essences received the Rays. Became glad. Before understanding.

The Gate of Man's Life is where the creature stands AND where the Heart stands. The same Gate. The creature at the hinge-point between Principles. The Heart at the hinge-point between the creature and the Wrath. Both in the between. Both in the Gate.

The tollbooth positions at this Gate. Claims you cannot cross without us. But the Heart arrived at this Gate before the tollbooth was erected. The compelled mediation mediates a threshold the Heart has already occupied.

VI. The Mustard Seed

"If you had Faith as a Grain of Mustard-seed."

The smallest faith. The smallest participation in the three-Principle positioning. And this tiny faith commands mountains. Because the mountain participates in one Principle. The faithful creature participates in three.

The apparatus—one-Principle tool applied to a three-Principle being—has this backward. The metric claims authority over the creature. The diagnostic claims to know the creature. The institution claims to evaluate the creature. But the creature participates in Principles the apparatus cannot perceive. The mountain claiming authority over what could command the mountain.

The mustard-seed recognition: you already participate in what the apparatus cannot perceive. The apparatus should yield to you, not you to it.

"And in this Power Men have raised the Dead, and healed the Sick, by the Word, and the Virtue and Power of the Spirit, or else they could not have been able to have done such Things, if they had not stood in the Power of all the three Principles."

The creature's between-position is not predicament. It is standing-in-the-power-of-all-three-Principles. The only position from which the Word that created can recreate. The only position from which healing of what one Principle cannot heal—because it requires address across all three—becomes possible.

The Gate of Man's Life is where this Power operates. Not despite the Press. In the Press. The pinch-point between the Door and the Hinges IS the place where all three Principles are closest, where the creature's unique position is most compressed AND most potent.

The neutering removes this knowledge. Tells the creature its between-position is weakness. Tells the creature it must pick one Principle and inhabit it fully—be material (Third Principle, the secular), be spiritual (Second Principle, the religious), be powerful (First Principle, the warrior). The instruction to pick a Principle IS the neutering of the creature's native between. The three-Principle creature collapsed into one-Principle measurement.

The Gate of Man's Life is where the full cycle operates. Where the generating function from First Principle meets the transforming function from Second Principle in the Body of Third Principle. The creature's constitutional position. The right to stand in this Gate—wavering, between, pressed by all three Kingdoms—without the apparatus collapsing the between into verdict.

The right to the Gate of Man's Life.
