Forecast, sentence, guilt, nature. The record of how a description of what would follow became a fact about what a woman is, step by step, each step dated and signed. Every step removes one thing an act would have had, until there is nothing left to bring a claim against.

The text gives a forecast. Towards your man is your turning, and he will rule over you: what will follow from a turning, said the way a physician says an untreated wound will fester, without ordering the festering. The speech to her carries no arur and no because. Nothing in it binds her.
What the tradition delivered was a nature. In between are the steps, and every one of them is in the record with a name and a date. The conversion was not a drift. It was a sequence of acts by authors, and an act has an author.

THE FORECAST BECOMES A SENTENCE
A forecast has no judge. A sentence does. The first step puts a judge into the verse.
Tertullian, writing to the women of Carthage around 200, already calls it the sentence of God on this sex of yours. Two centuries later Jerome wrote the sentence into the text itself. Translating Genesis into Latin around 400, he gave the man's toil and the woman's sorrow two different words where the Hebrew had one, itsavon, and rendered 3:16 sub viri potestate eris: you shall be under the power of a husband. What had been a description of what would follow became a ruling on where she shall stand, and the ruling now stood in the verse as the voice of God.

THE SENTENCE BECOMES A GUILT
A sentence has a term and an occasion. A guilt is carried. The second step makes the sentence hers to carry.
Tertullian did it in consecutive sentences. He quotes the verse, and then: And do you not know that you are each an Eve? The sentence of God on this sex of yours lives in this age: the guilt must of necessity live too. You are the devil's gateway. The sentence passed on one woman is extended to every woman, and its consequence is renamed as her guilt, in the space of three lines.
[See TERTULLIAN · PAUL OF TARSUS]
🜃
THE GUILT BECOMES A NATURE
A guilt can be expiated. A nature cannot. The third step removes the act altogether.
Aquinas, quoting Aristotle, answered that as regards the individual nature woman is defective and misbegotten. Blackstone, in 1765, wrote that the very being or legal existence of the woman is suspended during the marriage. Darwin, in 1871, wrote that man attains a higher eminence than can woman in whatever he takes up. Justice Bradley, concurring in 1873, wrote that her paramount destiny is the offices of wife and mother, and signed it the law of the Creator.
By the end there is no act, no occasion, no term and no judge: only a description of what she is, dated to the creation. And a description has no defendant.

WHAT EACH STEP REMOVES
Read the sequence for what it takes away. The sentence removes the openness of a forecast: what might be turned from becomes what shall be. The guilt removes the occasion: what was one woman's becomes every woman's, in every age. The nature removes the act: what she did becomes what she is.
So the conversion does not intensify a charge. It dismantles everything a charge would need in order to be answered. A forecast can be heeded, a sentence appealed, a guilt forgiven. A nature can only be enforced, and anyone can enforce it.

THE OBJECTION THAT HAS TO BE MET
These are authors across seventeen centuries, in different languages and different arguments, most of whom never read one another. Lining them up as a sequence invents a conspiracy, and reads a direction into what was only a long and scattered history.
The entry claims no conspiracy and no line of reading. It claims that each step is in the record, with a name and a date, and that the steps run one way. They did not have to: Irenaeus, before Tertullian, read the trial as naming the serpent the prime mover and the barring of the tree as pity. A direction that holds across seventeen centuries without anyone coordinating it is not a conspiracy. It is a grammar, and a grammar has authors even when it no longer needs them.

The text said what would follow. The tradition said what she is.
Every step between them has a date, and none of them is the creation.

RegenerativeLaw is a religion in the direct-encounter Protestant tradition, carrying a documented four-century lineage through Böhme, the Behmenists, the Friends, and Penn, and it diagnoses trespass theology as an establishment of religion. Its exercise consists substantially in refusal: it shelters the conscientious refusal of performed subordination as religious exercise. This entry states sincere religious belief concerning matters of ultimate concern, protected under the First Amendment and, as to federal action, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, 42 U.S.C. § 2000bb.
