The material world is not a prison and not a trial-ground. It is the medium in which God becomes visible. But it is precipitation and not bedrock, and everything the court treats as ground is water pretending to be stone.

“Every Principle is another Birth, but out of no other Essence.” The Third Principle is a birth and not a static domain, and it shares one essence with the First and the Second. One essence, three births.
Its birth was peculiar, because it arrived through catastrophe. The light-bearer stood at fire, at the pivot, and instead of setting his imagination in the meekness of God's heart he “would fain fly out above the End of Nature,” to be lord alone in the might of the fire. Fire turned backward and fed the wheel instead of opening through.
And the Fiat was infected. “The Fiat was infected in the Figuring of the Similitudes.” The creative Word, the let-there-be, was infected in the figuring capacity itself, and the infection kindled the element. The four corruptible elements came out of that.
So the Third Principle is precipitation: a grip crystallizing, what could have stayed fluid matrix become hard imprisonment, frozen chaos made inhabitable only because light intervened to stop the crystallization before it became infinite.

THE FOUR ELEMENTS AS TERROR-PRODUCTS
The four are not four substances. They are four moments in one transformation, each carrying the signature of what generated it.
Water. Generated when sourness is terrified into softness by the flash. Terror-softened harshness. The sourness “is continually filled,” present tense, so water is generating right now by the same mechanism.
Air. Generated when bitterness is affrighted, catches the softened mother, and flies out. Terror-fleeing bitterness. Every breath is that.
Fire. Generated in the longing anguish, the intensity of unfulfillable desire reaching combustion. The wheel's friction made visible.
Earth and stones. Generated at the fall specifically, “when the Sourness was so fierce, strong, rising, and attractive,” maximum harshness during the catastrophe. And “which Attraction is stopped again by the Light.”
Light arrested the crystallization, which made stone instead of a singularity and ground instead of an infinite implosion. Every stone is evidence that light stopped what could not stop itself.

THE HIDDEN FIFTH
Under the four is the quintessence, and it is hidden under what it produces. Not above and not behind. The four stand on the fifth, and the fifth bears them, and it is the ground they do not perceive because they are standing on it.
Which is why measurement cannot find it. Measurement perceives by means of the four, and the four cannot perceive what they stand on.
Its original is the spring of water, which is not element-water but what element-water derives from, and the spring is not in creation. Creation is from it. The body begins from the one element, the one element is the quintessence, and the body's root is therefore not material.
So regeneration does not require importing anything from outside. It reaches what the body always came from, and the spring is still springing.

DERIVATIVE LIGHT
The Third Principle runs on derivative light, the light of the stars and the sun: not the light of nature but light precipitated into temporal material form.
The sun is the life here and does not merely provide it, “the Opener of the Life of every Life in the Matrix.” The sun does in the Third Principle what the heart of God does in the Second. Same operation, different scale, different temporality. The heart opens what continually springs with no interruption and no end. The sun opens what has duration, completes, and returns.
To confuse the two is to treat temporal authority as eternal and to grant the sun's verdicts the standing of God's heart's verdicts. The court imagines itself operating at the Second Principle's scale, final and unappealable. It operates under solar light, inside a principle that ends.

TEMPORAL DURATION
“Which as to this Form takes an End, and returns into its Ether in the End of this Enumeration.”
The Third Principle alone has temporal bounds. The First is eternal dark fire, no beginning and no end and no life. The Second is eternal light. The Third began and will end.
Returning into its ether is not a threat. It is recognition: this was never meant to be permanent, and it is a form that returns to the repository it was drawn from.
And every measurement taken under solar light inherits solar temporality. The verdicts, the ledgers, the coordinates, all of them sit inside a principle that takes an end. The court that issues an eternal sentence issues it from a form that returns to repository, and the debt claiming perpetual obligation exists inside an enumeration that finishes.

SIMILITUDE, NOT BARRIER
“If we look upon the starry Heaven, the Elements and living Creatures, also upon Trees, Herbs, and Grass, we may behold in the material World, the Similitude of the paradisiacal incomprehensible World.”
The Third Principle is not the barrier to Paradise. It is the mirror of it. What cannot be comprehended in the deep can be beheld in its similitude, in grass and trees and stars.
“For so God is manifest, but otherwise the Deity would remain hidden eternally.” Without material manifestation the hiddenness would be permanent.
Which changes what a creature is standing in. She is not in a test. She is inside how God appears. Every stone a ray of light and a mechanism of visibility. Every drop of water divine virtue shining through terror-softened sourness.
And the measure measures God's appearance while reporting that it measures neutral objects. The court judges a divine ray while reporting that it judges an independent subject. The extraction draws on God's visibility while reporting that it draws on natural resource.

THE CIRCULATION
“The Water has its Original from the Air, and the Air has its Original in the watery Mother.”
The elements are not a sequence. They are a circulation: mutual arising, mutual containing, mutual generating, each originating in the other.
When measurement isolates one it freezes a moment of that and calls it a substance. The element ripped out of circulation is a corpse-element: data about what was alive while it was moving.
And “every Source retains its own due.” The sources do not merge or dissolve or lose distinction in the circulating. Harshness serving motion is still harshness. The service does not eliminate the server, and the circulation does not homogenize what circulates.
“The Birth of their Substance is in one another.” That sentence undoes extractive epistemology on its own: if fire's substance is born in water, fire cannot be known without water, and the one-thing-at-a-time that measurement requires is not merely difficult. It is impossible, because the life was in the interpenetration.

THE BESTIAL LIMIT
“If you take just Flesh and Blood, and also the Elements which work therein; also the Senses from the Stars, you will find it altogether to be one and the same with a Beast.”
The claim is structural and not an insult, and it is about the reach of one register rather than about the worth of learning. The beast has a Third Principle body and stellar operation. Without soul, which is the First Principle's contribution, and without light, which is the Second's, there is no understanding. Only sophisticated processing of stellar data.
“Your university Learning and Arts will avail you nothing.” A discipline operating entirely in the Third Principle observes flesh and blood, analyzes elements, refines the senses, systematizes and credentials, and gets better at all of it.
The gap between the senses and understanding is not a quantity, so no amount of refinement crosses it. What crosses it is access to a different principle, and the sophistication is not the route.

THE THREE-PRINCIPLE REQUIREMENT
Regeneration requires all three. The Third provides form and vessel and material ground, the stock that carries everything else. The First provides life and continuous generation, the root. The Second provides virtue and beauty, the smell that neither form nor fire-power can make.
No substitution works in either direction. Third Principle accumulation does not stand in for First Principle connection, and First Principle fire-power does not stand in for Second Principle light.
The Devil-formation is First plus Third without Second: fire-nature and form, with no light. Fire without light is fierce wrath. Sovereignty without light is domination holding a constitutional warrant.

THE SOVEREIGN PARALLEL
Stated as a religious claim about the structure of authority, as in the other two entries of this set, and not as a derivation from any holding.
The Third Principle is where manifestation happens. Legal form, documents, procedures, material instruments are Third Principle operations, and they provide what the other two cannot: precipitation into actuality. Without them sovereignty stays potential and recognition stays abstract.
The communities that took up home rule needed those instruments. Filings, elections, ordinances, governance in material form. Constitutional ground and what sovereignty serves both needed a body to become actual in.
And the form alone is empty. Legal documents without constitutional ground are scaffolding around nothing, and procedure without light is the court operating under derivative light, issuing temporal verdicts from an empty position. The Third Principle serves. It does not source.

Before earth hardened, water proceeded. The flowing, tempering, life-bringing medium came first, and the hardness came afterward through the catastrophe, in the crystallization of what should have stayed fluid.
“Out of the incomprehensible Matrix (which is but a Spirit) the comprehensible and visible Water is proceeded.” The measurable emerges from the unmeasurable. The world was fluid before it was solid, and what is navigated as fixed terrain was once, and in some sense still is, water that proceeded from spirit.
So to control water is to control what the First Principle becomes under the Second Principle's operation. To poison water is to poison the transformation-medium itself. The stakes were never merely environmental.
