THE GEOMETRIC CONTRADICTION
Aliases: Add-on Legal Personhood • Stage Two • Coverture Evolved into Illegibility

The Mold
The structure was designed with women absent. Not incidentally but constitutively.
Coverture was not a surface feature. It was the load-bearing architecture. The structures were not built while happening to exclude women. They were built through that exclusion. Her absence was the negative space that gave the structure shape.
A mold works by exclusion. The object takes its form from what the mold excludes. The structure of coverture-era institutions took their form from what they excluded: her legal existence, her property capacity, her political voice, her knowledge authority.
Remove the mold. Keep the cast object. The shape persists. The negative space has become positive structure. The structure still requires the absence it was molded around.
When she enters, she enters a shape-that-presumes-her-absence. The shape does not change. She must.

The Subsumption Requirement
The structure cannot include her without being destroyed.
The architecture was load-bearing. Remove her absence and the structure loses coherence. The protocols, purposes, dimensions, coordinates—all organized around the assumption that certain creatures (those with full personhood) would operate them and certain creatures (those without) would not.
Full inclusion would require rebuilding every structure from the ground up. Not reforming but demolishing and reconstructing with her presence as constitutive rather than her absence.
This will not happen. The structures have momentum. They have beneficiaries. They have guardians.
Subsumption becomes the only option the structure can offer. She is included in form while being compressed in function. Her legal personhood is recognized while her actual operation requires conforming to coordinates designed for someone else.
The structure does not change. She changes. Her dimensions are amputated to fit the dimensions prepared by her absence.
This is subsumption: absorption that maintains the structure by deforming what is absorbed.

The Arithmetic of Impossibility
Let S = structure built through her absence.
Let P = her full personhood.
The structure requires: S = S (structure unchanged).
Her personhood requires: S → S' (structure transformed).
These cannot both be true.
The developmental vestment attempts: S + P within S. This produces: P' (compressed personhood) + S (unchanged structure).
But P' ≠ P. Compressed personhood is not full personhood. The equation does not balance. The inequality generates pressure.
The only solutions:
P' → exhaustion, expulsion, breakdown. She tears. Position B.
P' → internalized as identity. She tears herself. Position A.
S → S'. The structure tears. Position C's burning prevents this.
There is no fourth option. The developmental vestment is not a solution but a deferral—holding the contradiction in suspension while the pressure accumulates.

🜃
The Violence of Add-on Legal Personhood
The cruelest cut: she is told she has what she cannot exercise.
Add-on legal personhood says: you are a full person with full rights. Structural reality says: the architecture cannot accommodate a full person with your shape.
The gap between what she is told and what she experiences generates confusion (why is this so hard if I have equal rights), self-blame (it must be my inadequacy), gaslighting (you have every opportunity—what more do you want), isolation (no one else seems to struggle this much).
The legal personhood becomes the cover over structural exclusion. She cannot name the exclusion because she has been told it no longer exists. Her experience of exclusion arrives as personal failure rather than structural design.
This is not progress from coverture. This is coverture evolved into illegibility.

The Three Tears
The contradiction generates pressure. The pressure must go somewhere.
She tears. The compression exceeds what she can sustain. She breaks—leaves, burns out, becomes difficult, is expelled. Position B's structural destiny. The structure designed her failure. Her failure releases the pressure momentarily. The pressure rebuilds. The next creature enters. The recycling.
She tears herself to fit. She amputates what does not fit. She becomes Position A—successfully compressed, defending the structure that compressed her, policing others who have not compressed enough. The trespass is internalized. The violence becomes self-administered. She experiences her compression as choice and her self-policing as wisdom. The trespass is maintained by her internal enforcement. But the amputation leaves phantom limbs. The compressed dimensions do not disappear. They haunt.
The structure tears. This is what Position C's burning prevents. If the creature refuses to compress and refuses to leave, the structure must change or destroy her. Her uncompressed presence reveals that the structure requires compression—that inclusion without subsumption is geometrically impossible within current architecture.

The Immune Response
The structure has developed three immune responses that maintain the contradiction:
It individualizes structural failure. When she tears, the narrative is she could not handle it. Not: it was designed to tear her. Each individual tearing is processed as individual inadequacy, protecting the structure from diagnosis.
It rewards self-tearing. When she tears herself, she is celebrated. She made it. She succeeded. The amputation is reframed as achievement. Others learn: compress or be expelled. The developmental vestment at maximum operation.
It burns structural perception. When she threatens to tear the structure, she must be eliminated. Not because she is wrong but because she is right. Her perception threatens to make the impossibility visible. The stake at the threshold.

What the Tear Reveals
When the structure tears—whether through accumulated pressure, through collective refusal, through the creature remaining at the table uncompressed—what becomes visible:
The structure was never neutral. It was shaped by specific absences, specific exclusions, specific presumptions. Its neutrality was the naturalization of its particularity.
Inclusion was always subsumption. The structure could not include her without compressing her. What appeared as progress was coverture evolved.
The violence was structural, not personal. Her failures were not her inadequacy. Position A's success was not her superiority. Both were structural positions, not individual achievements.
Rebuilding is possible. Once the structure tears, new architecture can emerge. Not reformed old structure but actually new construction. Not accommodation but transformation. Not the war body refurbished but the generating function yielding.
🜃
Full personhood requires structural transformation.
Everything else is deferral, accumulation, trespass metabolized into her body while the structure performs neutrality.
The impossibility is the message. The tear is the work.
