Three Configurations of the Same Occupation
🜃
The trespass body is the creature under the first law — the body in which the generating function's backwards firing has filled expression's positions with prevention. What sits in love's position is possessiveness. What sits in voice's position is doctrine. What sits in body's position is property. The trespass body is not a type of person. It is a condition. The condition the trespass economy requires in order to run.
The trespass body exists in three configurations, distinguished by how deeply the occupation has been installed and how fully the creature has accepted the occupation as herself. The three configurations are not stages in a sequence. They are simultaneous modes. Any creature may move among them. Any institution maintains all three at once. The trespass economy requires all three — they are the positions through which the occupation reproduces itself.
In every configuration, the body is the same body: the prior occupant, the one whose territory was entered without consent, the one whose expression positions were filled with prevention before she could refuse. What differs is how the body carries that fact.
🜃
The Occupied Body
The occupied body is the trespass body that knows.
Not always in language. Not always with a name for what it knows. But the body registers the occupation before the mind can articulate it. The tightness. The vigilance. The sense that something is wrong in territory that should be hers. The refusal that rises before she can justify it. The exhaustion of being in positions that are hers and not hers simultaneously — the expression positions occupied, her presence in them required, her actual expression prevented. She is asked to be what she cannot be because what she would be is what the occupation has filled with something else.
The occupied body's wound stayed wound. She has not healed it into self-blame and she has not healed it into enforcement. The wound remains open, which means it remains legible — to her, and to those who need the occupation invisible. The occupied body makes the trespass speakable by refusing to perform it as interiority. Her continued presence in the trespass economy without accepting the trespass as herself is what the economy cannot tolerate.
This is why the push-out sequence is oriented toward her specifically. She must be expelled not because she is the most resistant but because she is the most visible. Her existence demonstrates that the occupation is occupation — that the prevention in expression's positions is prevention, not the thing itself. The Subsumed's performance of the occupation as love requires the occupied body's absence. The occupied body, simply by being present and unreconciled, makes the performance impossible to maintain.
The trespass economy reads the occupied body's accurate perception as pathology. The tightness is anxiety disorder. The vigilance is hypervigilance, a trauma symptom. The refusal is rigidity, failure to adapt, inability to function within normal parameters. The therapeutic vestment routes the occupied body's accurate registration back to her as information about herself: you are the problem. The body that was telling the truth is recoded as the body that is malfunctioning. The occupation is performed on the creature's recognition of the occupation. The trespass is performed twice.

The Pasteurized Body
The pasteurized body is the trespass body that was pulled from the forge mid-tempering.
She entered the fire. Something real began. The pressing started — the anguish of the generating function meeting the resistance of the forge, the first signs that the Harshness could sink down, that the creature could yield rather than push. And then: extraction. The professional channel intervened. The credential required demonstration of readiness. The institution required compliance with its terms as the price of continued access to the fire. The pressing was softened. The darkness was managed. The fermentation was interrupted before it could complete.
The pasteurized body came out of that interrupted crossing believing she failed it. She took the system's own terms seriously — filed the claim, followed the procedure, demonstrated the required competencies, accepted the channeling — and was denied the crossing the terms promised. She interprets the denial as her own insufficiency: I was not ready. I did not do it correctly. I need more preparation, more work on myself, more time in the earlier stages. The wound healed into self-blame.
This is the Petitioner's configuration. She aspires to the Subsumed's position, which means she aspires to deeper capture, which means she aspires to the condition in which the occupation is fully internalized as love. The pasteurized body's tragedy is that the fire was real — something in her genuinely reached the forge — and the extraction was real, and she cannot distinguish between the forge's difficulty and the extraction's intervention. The forge is hard. The extraction is hard. From inside, they feel like the same hardness.
The tollbooth architecture depends on the pasteurized body. She is the evidence that the channeling works: she tried, she struggled, she did not make it through, she returned to try again through the approved route. Her continued attempt through the credentialed channel funds the tollbooth. Her self-blame keeps her returning. Her aspiration to the Subsumed's position keeps her compliant. The trespass economy does not need to destroy her. It needs her to keep paying tribute at the gate while believing the gate is the crossing.

The Superseded/Subsumed Body
The superseded/subsumed body is the trespass body in which the occupation has become interiority.
She was told the forging occurred when it never did. Or she was incorporated so completely and so early that the occupation's installation preceded any formation that could resist it. In either case: the result is the same. The prevention in expression's positions is not experienced as prevention. Possessiveness is her love. Doctrine is her conviction. Property is her belonging. The bilateral installation runs through her so completely that her enforcement of the occupation feels like care. She is not performing the occupation. She is the occupation, experienced from inside as herself.
This is the deepest capture — not because it is the most violent but because it is the most invisible. The occupied body registers dissonance between herself and the occupation. The pasteurized body registers the dissonance as her own failure. The superseded/subsumed body registers no dissonance at all. The trespass IS her self-understanding. To name the trespass to her is not to inform her. It is to attack her. What is being named as occupation is what she experiences as love, as duty, as the proper order of things she has freely chosen to inhabit.
The superseded/subsumed body administers the trespass downward. This is the Subsumed's function in the complicity factory: her enforcement is care. She protects the occupied body from the danger the occupied body's refusal creates. She guides the pasteurized body back to the channeled route when she strays. She does this not because she is cynical but because the occupation IS her love. The bilateral installation means that her care and the occupation's maintenance are the same operation. She cannot distinguish them because there is nothing left in her that stands outside the installation to see it from.
The superseded/subsumed body is the trespass economy's most efficient product. She does not need to be managed. She manages. She does not need to be incentivized to maintain the occupation. She is incentivized by her own love. The trespass tribute flows through her as her own desire to protect what she values. The trespass economy achieves through her what force alone could never achieve: an occupied creature who maintains the occupation of others as an act of genuine care, who cannot be reached by naming the occupation because the name lands as an accusation against her love rather than a description of her condition.

The Three Together
The three configurations require each other. The trespass economy cannot run on any one of them alone.
Without the superseded/subsumed body, the occupation has no one to administer it. Force alone requires the trespasser to be present at every extraction point. The Subsumed distributes the administration through love, which is cheaper and more durable than force and produces no visible trespasser to name.
Without the pasteurized body, the tollbooth has no revenue. The Petitioner pays tribute at the gate repeatedly, believing each payment brings her closer to the crossing the gate promises. She is the tollbooth's permanent customer base — the creature who has crossed far enough to generate genuine hope but not far enough to recognize that the crossing she seeks is not what the tollbooth sells.
Without the occupied body, the complicity factory has no product. The factory requires the Witch. Her expulsion is the event that confirms for the Subsumed that her protection was necessary and for the Petitioner that compliance is the only safe route. Without the occupied body's presence and eventual expulsion, the other two positions have no evidence that the occupation is real and the threat is real and the only safety is inside the occupation's terms.
This is the mutual blackmail that makes the complicity factory self-sustaining. The Subsumed's care is real. The Petitioner's hope is real. The occupied body's perception is accurate. Each is trapped by what is true in her position. The factory does not run on deception. It runs on the genuine experiences of three creatures whose genuine experiences interlock to maintain what each of them, from inside her position, cannot fully see.

What the Trespass Body Is Not
The trespass body is not a damaged body. Damage requires repair. The trespass requires cessation. This is not a semantic distinction. Repair locates the problem in the body — in her disorder, her trauma response, her insufficient development, her wound that needs healing. Cessation locates the problem in the trespass — in the ongoing occupation that requires ongoing maintenance, that is actively preventing expression in the present tense, today, in this body. Repair keeps the creature in the trespass economy's coordinate system working to become adequate within it. Cessation names the coordinate system as the product of the trespass and names the trespass as what must stop.
The trespass body is not a war body. The war body names what trespass theology projects from outside: the two poles of the polarity play lived as internal conflict, the creature as the site where the war between good and evil, spirit and flesh, dominant and subordinate is fought. The war body is what the theology sees when it looks at the creature. The trespass body is what the creature IS before the theology's gaze: the prior occupant, the one whose territory was entered, the one whose expression positions were filled with prevention before she could refuse. The war body is the trespass theology's name for its own product. The trespass body is the creature's name for what was done to her.
The trespass body is not a fixed identity. It is a condition that can end. The condition ends when the generating function yields at Quality 4 instead of pushing through. When the occupier leaves. When expression's positions are returned to the prior occupant. The creature who was the superseded/subsumed body, the pasteurized body, the occupied body — all three reconstitute when the trespass stops. Not as healed versions of their trespass-body configurations. As themselves. Expression's territory, the prior occupant restored. The forge available. The crossing possible without tribute.
