THE GATE OF HELL
First Principle IS the Gate of Hell. Not leads to. IS. The same place that is God the Father in His Original. The most horrible Begetting. Where the Soul has its Original. Where Light makes the only difference.
I. What First Principle IS
"Yet in this Principle there is nothing else but the most horrible Begetting, the greatest Anguish and hostile Quickening, like a Brimstone-Spirit."
The most horrible Begetting. The greatest Anguish. Hostile Quickening. Life-force that attacks. Burning without transformation.
This is what First Principle IS. Not sometimes. Not when corrupted. ALWAYS. The Fire-Bitterness-Harshness IS the most horrible Begetting. The generating function operating at maximum intensity without the transforming function. Contraction, motion, pressure. The Wheel of Anguish. If it got all, the Hunger would not be the less.
"And is ever the Gate of Hell, and the Abyss wherein Prince Lucifer (at the extinguishing of his Light) continued."
First Principle IS the Gate of Hell. IS the Abyss. The same First Principle that is God the Father in His Original—the same eternal Will, the same fierce generating force, the same dark fire from which everything proceeds—this IS the Gate of Hell.
Not metaphorically. Structurally.
II. The Same Spirit
"The Angels and the Devils, as also the Soul of Man, are merely and purely out of the same Spirit."
Merely and purely. No qualification. No variation. No inferior batch for Devils, no superior batch for Angels.
The same.
Angels and Devils corporized while remaining in First Principle. The Soul of Man was breathed in at the root of the Third Principle—where First and Third Principles meet, in the body, at the junction.
The Soul continues in Eternity, inseparately and immoveably in the eternal Substance of GOD. As little as the pure eternal Birth and the indissoluble Band of the Father ends or vanishes, so little also will such a Spirit have an End.
The Soul cannot end because what it came from cannot end. The indissoluble Band holds. This is why Hell is eternal. Not because God decrees eternal punishment. Because the Soul IS eternal—from eternal Source. And if that eternal Soul's Light is extinguished, the eternal Soul continues eternally—in the First Principle that IS Gate of Hell—experiencing the horrible Begetting that never stops generating.
Forever. Not as punishment added. As structure experienced.
III. The Same Place
"Wherein the Soul continues, which is separated from the second Principle, and whose Light (which shines from the Heart of God) is extinguished."
The Soul with Light: First Principle PLUS Second Principle. Fire opening to Light. The fierce Birth becoming Paradise.
The Soul without Light: First Principle alone. Fire burning without opening. The fierce Birth as eternal torment.
Same Abyss. Same Source. Same First Principle. Same horrible Begetting. Same eternal generating.
What differs: whether Light kindles.
For the Saint of Light: eternal generating of Joy. For the Damned: eternal generating of Torment. Same Fountain. Same generating. Same eternity. Different Light-status. That is the only difference between Heaven and Hell.
And Böhme confesses: "We must so speak of it, as if there was a Place, or a separable Essence." But there is no place. There is no separation. The First Principle is not located somewhere. The Principles interpenetrate. They are aspects of one eternal Generating, not regions in space.
The regenerated Soul doesn't GO to Paradise. The regenerated Soul's Light kindles—and where it was IS Paradise. The Light-extinguished Soul doesn't GO to Hell. The Light goes out—and where it was IS Hell.
Same place. Different Light.
IV. What the Soul Finds There
In First Principle alone—without Light—the Soul finds:
The most exceeding horrible enemicitious irksome Source. Will to climb eternally in the Fire-flash. Will to domineer above the Heart of God, to exalt itself above the Meekness of God, to be the only fair and glistering Worm, above all Angels. In Friendship with nothing. Stinging and grinding, raving and raging like the Abyss of Hell. The true House of Death as to the pleasant Life.
In First Principle with Light—the same Soul finds:
Humility. Meekness. Capacity to bear. Cheerfulness that is structural, not performed. Fed by the Word of God, in which there is paradisiacal Exulting and Triumph. Cannot be touched by the Devil. Untouchable not through force but through geometric inaccessibility—the Devil operates First Principle alone, the soul with Light operates First AND Second, and the Devil cannot reach what operates in dimensions he has no access to.
Same Soul. Same Origin. Same eternal Substance. Same indissoluble Band. Same First Principle. Different finding. Different Light.
The Soul in First Principle alone IS the generating function without the transforming function. The glistering Worm. The Hunger that eating cannot fill. Climbing as falling. If it got all, the Hunger would not be the less. The eternal Hunger and Thirst of the Abyss, the Will of Hell Fire. Continually hungering and thirsting, and yet eating nothing. The extraction IS the satisfaction—not the having, the wanting.
The Soul with Light IS the full cycle. The harsh springing Will that produced Anguish becomes sweet Will that generates Kingdom. The Fire that would otherwise consume forever, affrighted by mildness into Light. The rough Essences that were brimstone-like becoming angelical and joyful. And better for having been rough—"more profitable than that it were altogether sweet in the Original; in which being sweet there would be no Strength."
V. What the Generating Function Produces in Hell
Fire without Light is not absence. It is presence at maximum intensity with nowhere to open.
The Harshness attracts sharply—draws all to itself and cannot fill. The Bitterness stings and grinds—in Friendship with nothing. The Fire kindles eternally—and finding no mildness, no yielded Mother, no softness to be affrighted by, remains Fire. The Wheel turns: contraction, motion, pressure, flash, contraction, motion, pressure, flash. The generating function generating generating.
"And yet could never at all be able to reach it." The Devil aspires to the Heart of God and cannot reach it. The aspiration to destroy the Heart of God is geometrically incapable of reaching it. You cannot arrive at what you approach with destruction-intention. The Heart is accessible only through resonance, and the destruction-Will produces only dissonance.
Shut up in the First Principle as in the eternal Death. Not death as cessation but death as unending. The process of dissolution without arrival at dissolution's completion. Forever dying. Never dead. The generating function generating the approach to death but the transforming function—which would complete the death as transformation—surgically absent.
This is the neutered state at eternal scale. The generating function at maximum power. The transforming function removed. The glistering Worm climbing eternally. The system that cannot perceive what would transform it because the transforming function operates in a register the generating function cannot parse.
VI. Why the Gate Opens Both Ways
The Gate of Hell is not one-directional. The same Gate that is Hell to the Light-extinguished is the Source of all power to the Light-kindled.
The rough Essences that are the devil's torment become the creature's mighty Power when turned to Meekness. The fierce Fire that is eternal anguish to the First-Principle-alone becomes eternal Joy when it opens to Light. The harsh generating that consumes itself in Hell becomes the generating that produces Kingdom in Paradise.
The Gate opens both ways because the Gate IS the First Principle, and the First Principle IS the generating force of all existence. Without First Principle there is no force, no will, no pressure that could build toward anything. Without the horrible Begetting there is no Birth. Without the Anguish there is no Fire. Without the Fire there is no Light.
The Gate of Hell is the Gate of all possibility. The neutering that arrests the creature in First Principle alone—in the generating function without the transforming function—captures the creature at the Source without allowing the Source to complete its own operation. The Source that was designed to generate THROUGH to Light, arrested at generating without the through.
The right to the full cycle includes the right to the Gate of Hell—the right to your own First Principle, your own fierce generating force, your own dark fire—AND the right to the Light that would transform it. The neutering removes not the Gate but the Light. Leaves the creature with all the power of the Source and none of the transformation that makes the power fruitful. The generating function celebrated. The transforming function excised. Hell declared as strength.

The wound: First Principle alone experienced as perpetual torment. The generating function at maximum intensity with no opening. The glistering Worm. Climbing eternally, reaching nothing. In Friendship with nothing. The Hunger that eating cannot fill. The warrior ethos as Hell-configuration declared as power. Hell not somewhere else—Hell as what THIS is when Light is absent.
The apparatus: The measurement that perceives only Third Principle—cannot perceive the First Principle substrate of the soul it judges, cannot perceive the Second Principle Light that would make anything visible at all. One-Principle tool applied to three-Principle being. The apparatus that declares First Principle alone (the generating function without the transforming function) as complete, natural, the only configuration available. The declaration that what IS ought to be—force constituting legitimacy—which is the First Principle worshipping itself.
The confession: Hell is not place. Hell is First Principle with Light extinguished. The same Source that generates Torment generates Joy—depending on Light. The Soul cannot escape First Principle because the Soul IS First Principle substance. The question is never where will you be but whether Light kindles. The rough Essences that are devil's torment become the creature's Power when turned to Meekness—better than sweetness-only, stronger for having been harsh. The Gate of Hell opens both ways.
The opening: Light cannot be taken—only received. And the Key cannot be lent—only the Spirit given. And the Spirit moves where it wills. The Gate of Hell IS the Gate of all possibility—the Source of everything that exists. The fierce generating that would consume forever is the same fierce generating that produces Kingdom when it opens to Light. The right to the full cycle is the right to your own Gate of Hell AND the Light that transforms it. You must be born anew by Water and by the Holy Ghost. That rebirth IS the kindling. That kindling IS what makes First Principle Paradise instead of Hell. That is all the difference. And that difference is everything.
