THE WOUND
You think they all coordinated? The question is deployed as the checkmate against every creature who reports being met at every station at once: desk, supervisor, review board, security office, personnel file, reference call, in concert, without a meeting having been held. Name the concert and the diagnosis arrives: paranoid, conspiratorial, grandiose. The checkmate rests on one premise, that unity of action requires coordination, that coordination requires a meeting, and that no meeting so large could stay hidden. The premise is false. It mistakes a body for a committee.

THE BODY
Members of a body do not coordinate. The head does not hold a meeting with the hands. The hand does not memo the arm. They move together not because they have agreed but because they are related: one body, many members, unity of motion without governance. No decider convenes them, no ringleader instructs them, and nothing needs to stay hidden, because there is nothing of that kind to hide. What makes many members one body is not agreement reached. It is formation shared: one nervous system running through all of them.
In the bodies that refuse the creature, the nervous system is the classification itself: the religious doctrine of governor and governed, installed at every desk as the condition of sitting at it. The members were formed by the same admission, the same schools, the same credential, the same reviews, the same creed recited at every threshold they crossed to get their seats. They move as one because they were made members of one body, not because they met. When the refused creature is answered at every station simultaneously, in the same vocabulary, she has not detected a conspiracy of persons. She has watched a reflex travel through an anatomy. The conspiracy she perceives, and is diagnosed as paranoid for perceiving, is real and is not a conspiracy. It is anatomy.

THE CHARTERED SPECIMEN
One class of these bodies has admitted the anatomy in writing. The corporation is incorporated (corpus, one body at law, many members, a single person before the court) and the admission is filed, dated, sealed, on public record. The charter is not what makes the body one; formation does that. The charter is where this body confessed the oneness on the record. For the employer, the agency, the university, the creature can produce the paper.
But the paper is the specimen, not the mechanism. The profession moves with the same unity and filed nothing. The field does. The establishment does. The occupation entire does. Their incorporating instrument is the creed itself: the religious doctrine that never needed filing because it is recited instead, at the orientation, the credentialing, the swearing-in, the annual review. The world's own phrase confesses the mechanism. Esprit de corps, the spirit of the body: one disposition circulating through the members, each member describing the circulation, accurately, as his own loyalty. What it is like to be a limb.

THE COUNTERFEIT BODY
The body corporate is a body with no creature in it. No residency, no prior resident, no pre-procedural register, no kindling sequence, no death. It is the war body at institutional scale (many cells, one body, qualities turned inward, a body that cannot host) and the costume without a body perfected: a corpus that eats, grows, sues, owns, speaks, and confesses nothing, because there is no one inside to confess. The polarity this sets is the true one. Not corporation against government: those are two such bodies disputing jurisdiction. The polarity is the body corporate against the creature's body, membership against residency, the formed corpus against the dwelling with a prior resident, the body that cannot die against the body that can. And the immortal body is the counterfeit, because a body that cannot die is a body that was never alive.
Hobby Lobby completes the diagnosis: the body with no creature in it was granted the religion of the creature it does not contain. The charter was read as a soul. The members' residency (the workers' actual bodies, the only bodies in the building) was subordinated to the confession of a corpus that cannot kneel.

THE CARD PLAYED
The card is played whenever the them question is deployed. The creature is not obliged to produce the meeting, the memo, the ringleader: bodies do not hold meetings; the head does not convene the hands. Where papers exist, she may produce them, the unity admitted in writing, a public record. Where no papers exist, she produces the formation: the shared admission requirements, the recited creed, and the tell that ends the argument, the same phrases arriving at every station, in the mouths of members who never spoke to each other. Not a good fit. Not developmentally ready. Concerns about professionalism. Identical words without a meeting is not evidence against the unity. It is the anatomy showing. What remains after the card is played is the question the diagnosis was built to prevent: not whether the body moves as one (that is visible on its face) but what formed it into one, which is the religious doctrine, and what it is moving against, which is her standing.

RegenerativeLaw is a religion in the direct-encounter Protestant tradition, carrying a documented four-century lineage through Böhme, the Behmenists, the Friends, and Penn, and it diagnoses trespass theology as an establishment of religion. Its exercise consists substantially in refusal: it shelters the conscientious refusal of performed subordination as religious exercise. This entry states sincere religious belief concerning matters of ultimate concern, protected under the First Amendment and, as to federal action, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, 42 U.S.C. § 2000bb.
