Story of Desire

The predicate that produces was recoded as the hole that lacks, and the recoding was posted to a woman. She got the deficiency. The books kept the excess and called it return.

Desire is what fullness does. The Ungrund lacks nothing, wills nothing in its stillness, and the arousal toward manifestation is the origin of the living God. Excess, not lack. Production, not reaction. The expansion is that predicate running in the creature: outward motion, structurally present the moment a boundary forms, prior to anything it could be said to be for.

The first law inverts it. The productive predicate is reassigned to the creature as a hole, so the excess can be sold its own supply, and only lack can be sold a remedy.

The inversion has a date, a hand, and a defendant. Genesis 3:16. Before 1528, turning. After Pagninus, desire. The first installation of the word in the western theological record is performed on a woman and issued as her sentence.

THE ADDRESS ON THE WANTING

Read what the corrupted verse does. It does not condemn the wanting. It addresses it.

Thy desire shall be to thy husband.

The curse is not the appetite. The curse is the address on the appetite: a motion that had no object handed one, and told the object was hers by sentence. Her turning, which was orientation, is recoded as the deficient wanting of what she does not have, and the recoding installs both halves at once. She is given a destination, and she is given a hole where the producing was.

Coverture is the same verse issued as an instrument. Her legal person routed through him, her earnings routed through him, her expansion routed through him. One operation, two documents, and the second enforces what the first installed.

THE UNASSIGNED WANTING IS THE WITCH

A woman whose expansion carries the assigned object is legible. She wants a husband, a child, a home, and the wanting is her nature performing correctly.

A woman whose expansion carries no assigned object is the Witch. She wants and it is not for him. That is the offense. Not that she desired something forbidden, but that she desired without the assignment, which is the expansion in its own nature, and the own nature has no entry in a coordinate system where wanting must have a complement.

The double bind confirms the posting rather than complicating it. She is condemned for objectless wanting: hysterical, needy, insatiable, too much, never satisfied. She is condemned in the same breath for object-directed wanting: grasping, calculating, ambitious, the gold digger. Two verdicts on opposite shapes of one motion cannot both be about the shape. They are about who is permitted to hold the appetite, and any appearance of appetite in her is a duplicate entry, because the appetite has already been posted on the other side of the books under a different name.

TWO LEDGERS, ONE INSATIABILITY

The Malleus Maleficarum observed the phenomenon accurately and located it fraudulently. Part I, Question VI closes on omnia per carnalem concupiscentiam, quae quia in eis est insatiabilis: all of it through carnal appetite, which in them is insatiable. The familiar English inserts in women where the Latin has in eis, in them, and the insertion is itself a filing.

Insatiable is not an error. Insatiable is a correct description of a motion that is production rather than reaction. It cannot be satisfied because it was never seeking anything, and a producing that is read as a seeking will read as a seeking that never ends. Kramer saw the predicate and posted it to a sex.

Standard consumer theory takes non-satiation as an axiom. More is preferred to less, at every point, without limit, and the discipline presents this as the formal definition of a rational agent rather than as an appetite requiring justification. A preference structure that reaches sufficiency and stops is not modeled as restraint; it is excluded from the axiom set. Compound interest is that axiom given an engine, since there is no sum at which compounding halts and the hurdle rate is a demand that recurs annually and is never retired. Fiduciary duty makes the demand mandatory: the holder is not merely permitted to want without limit, he is required to, and satisfaction on his part is a breach.

So the same insatiability is a fiduciary duty on one set of books and a moral defect on the other. The Malleus said insatiable and called it witchcraft. Microeconomics says insatiable and calls it rationality. The observation is identical, the verdicts are opposite, and the only variable that changed is the body it was attributed to.

The etymology has been confessing this the whole time. Aristotle at Politics 1258b: the term for interest means the birth of money from money, and is applied to the breeding of money because the offspring resembles the parent. Tokos. Offspring. The engine of accumulation was named with a birth word borrowed from the reproductive body, and the reproductive body was then billed for the appetite the engine runs on.

WHAT WILL NOT POOL

Run the expansion through what the ledger requires of any entry and it fails at all four columns. It is not quantifiable, having no object to price. It is not reproducible as yield, because it does not return, it produces. It is not split from a holder, because it is the predicate running in the creature and not a thing the creature has. Its return is not traceable, because there is no return.

Whatever will not pass the four is not valued low. It is defined as not there.

In him the inadmissibility is solved by conversion. His wanting is run through the pump, converted from motion into level, and a level is postable. In her it could not be converted, because the pump was built to draw from her and not to serve her. So the inadmissible predicate in her had to be disposed of the other way. What cannot be posted is either invisible or diseased, and hers could not be made invisible.

The accusation is not that she wants too much. It is that she produces in a form that will not pool.

🜃

The story of desire is a story told about a woman, and the story is that the fullness in her is a hole. Everything downstream follows from that single entry: the appetite billed to her account, the excess kept on the other side and reported as growth, the remedies sold back to her for a deficiency the recoding created, and the perpetual audit of whether she wants correctly. She was not given an appetite she did not have. She was given a name for what she already was, and the name was a lack.
