The interior instrument. What the papal bulls installed from outside by law, the translations installed from inside the text the creature is taught is God's own word.
The papal bulls are the exterior instrument. They enter the dwelling as external law — warrant, decree, the sovereign authorized from Rome. The translation corruptions are the interior instrument. They do not enter from outside. They are already inside the one text the creature is taught she may not question, changing what it says while presenting as what it always said. Conquest theology installed itself twice: once through the law that took from without, once through the scripture that was corrupted from within. The Occupation entry lists both as peer installations — bulls, translation corruptions, coverture, the Insular Cases — "specific doctrines installed into the text the creature was taught is God's communication, by identifiable hands at datable moments, with forensic before-and-after evidence in every library."

The mechanism.
Translation does not transmit. Translation performs the measurement cut in naming-space.
The word that arrives is not the word that departed, and the difference between departure and arrival is not noise in the channel. The difference is the operation. The forgery of the word succeeds the way every forgery of the configuration succeeds — not by hiding but by presenting as what it is not. Original where it is invented. Ancient where it is recent. And, uniquely, fidelity where it is substitution: translation is the one instrument whose entire declared function is to carry the same thing across, so the substitution arrives wearing the claim of having changed nothing. The creature is not told a new doctrine. She is told the old text. The new doctrine is inside the old text, and the claim of fidelity is what makes it invisible.
The forgery is structural before it is personal. A translation committee operating under coverture — where the married woman had no separate legal existence — could not produce a text in which women held independent spiritual authority. Not because the translators were liars. Because the configuration operating through them cannot render what its own grammar eliminates. The forger can be named. The structure that made the forgery inevitable precedes any forger. Departure text, committee, arrival text, and the difference attributed to the source: this is the chain of custody, and it is traceable at every link.

The keystone: the name of God.
The deepest corruption is the corruption of God's self-naming, because every other corruption follows from which God the text installs.
Exodus 3:14.
God gives the name: ehyeh asher ehyeh. The Hebrew verb is imperfect — incomplete aspect, future-inflected. I will be who I will be. A God who is not finished, who points toward God's own future, who develops. The Septuagint rendered it egō eimi ho ōn — "I am the being one." The Vulgate: ego sum qui sum. The English: I AM THAT I AM.
The dynamic imperfect frozen into static being. The developing God rendered as actus purus — pure act without potency, complete, impassable, preceded by nothing and moved by nothing.
Schelling read the Hebrew correctly against the tradition: I will be who I will be, the God whose proper name is life, spontaneous, driven, capable of self-developing. The corruption installs the opposite — the immovable serenity of the infinite that wills nothing because it has nothing to will. And once God is frozen into actus purus, everything downstream follows. The fierce Wrath becomes a fixed divine attribute rather than Fire-without-Light at a site where the Heart has not opened. Sophia has no room, because a God complete in static act has no receptive other to be mediated by. The yielding is foreclosed, because a finished God does not yield into anything. The whole error God Says names — perceiving the Wrath and declaring it the whole of God — is prepared here, in the tense of a verb, by translators who could not render a God who was not yet finished.
This is the root the three registers grow from. Install the wrong God at the name, and the subordination, the dominion, and the debt each have their ground.

The fork.
The corruption operates at all three faces of the Occupation. Each face receives the class of corruption its grammar requires. God Says receives the corruptions that install hierarchy as divine design. Nature Says receives the corruptions that install the cut and the mandate, then secularizes them as how things are. Market Says receives the corruptions that install the ledger into salvation, then strips the theology and calls the ledger mechanism.

The God Says register — subordination as divine design.
Teshuqah, turning rendered as desire;
kephalē, source rendered as authority;
authentein, violent domination rendered as ordinary authority and reported speech rendered as command;
ezer k'negdo, a power facing him as equal rendered as helpmeet;
the eta particle, Paul's rebuke of the silencers rendered as Paul's command to silence.
The class is single. Each corruption installs the declaration of incompetence at the theological register — the prior occupant declared incapable of holding her own position, a subordinate resident installed in her dwelling under divine warrant, and the installation attributed to God. Turning becomes craving. Source becomes governor. The powerful counterpart becomes the assistant. In every case the before-text is the evidence that the territory had a prior occupant. The detail is held in the sub-entry. What belongs here is the register: God Says is where translation corruption installs the Great Chain into scripture, so that the creature who reads the text receives the trespass as God's word.
🜃
The Nature Says register — the cut and the mandate.
Nature Says declares itself not-religion, not-scripture, the post-cut condition rendered as the world. It is the face least willing to admit it has a text under it. It has one.
Two corruptions install what Nature Says later secularizes.
The first is nephesh. The Hebrew nephesh chayyah is the whole living being — breath, throat, the animate creature entire. Rendered through Greek psychē into the immortal soul, it installs the body-soul severance: a separable soul housed in a discardable body. Nature Says inherits the severance and inverts the valuation without touching the cut — consciousness becomes what neural activity produces, the soul reclassified as an emergent property of the elementary spirit, the body reduced to machine. The dualism the face secularizes was installed in the mistranslation of a word that never named a separable soul.
The second is the mandate.
Radah and kabash — Genesis 1, rendered "have dominion" and "subdue" — collapsed toward conquest and elevated over the Genesis 2 vocation, abad and shamar, to serve and to keep the garden. The tending of a dwelling one belongs to was overwritten by the subjugation of a resource one stands outside of. Nature Says receives the subjugation as the natural relation of the human to the earth — the extraction mandate secularized as the way the species is structured. The dominion the face calls nature was installed in the collapse of two Hebrew words whose range included service.
The corruption installs the cut. The face that denies having any scripture posts the cut as the earth.

The Market Says register — the ledger in salvation.
Market Says runs the books and calls the running mechanism. Its theology is accounting theology, and accounting theology was installed into the salvation architecture through translation before it was ever installed into commerce.
The creature's relation to God was rendered in double-entry. Sin became debt — opheilēma, "forgive us our debts," the wrong posted as a negative balance to be discharged. Salvation became purchase — apolytrōsis, ransom; "ye were bought with a price," the transaction-framing of atonement, the creature redeemed the way a pledge is redeemed from a pawn. Righteousness became reckoning — logizomai, "counted, credited, imputed," the accounting verb, the balance posted to the creature's account from outside. Debt, payment, ransom, reckoning, wages: the vocabulary of the ledger installed at the point where the creature meets God, so that the encounter reads as a settlement.
This is why God Says can describe its own salvation architecture as the cheaper rate — every confession a ledger entry, every penance a payment on a debt the misperception installed. The debt was installed in the translation. Market Says later strips the theology and keeps the form: the page must close, the accounts must balance, and the balance is the truth. The prodigal returns rehearsing exactly this — make me as one of thy hired servants, a debit against what he squandered, a credit to be earned through service. He learned accounting theology in the far country. He learned it from a text whose translators had already rendered his return as a transaction. The father closes the book before the entry can be posted — but the son came home fluent in the ledger because the ledger was translated into the scripture first.

Why it is one instrument.
The corruptions are not a catalogue of independent errors. A set of accidents would scatter. These point in one direction, and the direction is the tell. Sarah Grimké saw it in 1838 — "the false translation of some passages by the MEN who did that work." Katharine Bushnell tracked it across twelve ancient versions with the precision the evidence demanded, and found that exousia, rendered correctly as power everywhere else, became "veil" in the single instance it named a woman's power; that words meaning strength for men became chastity for women; that ēshet cha-yil, woman of might, of valor, of army, became "virtuous woman." "These may be just straws," she wrote. "Yet they all point in the same direction."
The direction is supersession operating in naming-space. The later rendering supersedes the earlier; the corrupted reading supersedes the manuscript evidence; the institutional requirement supersedes the text — and the supersession presents itself as the original, as what the text always said. One operation at three registers. At God Says it installs the hierarchy. At Nature Says it installs the cut. At Market Says it installs the ledger. And the divine-name corruption at the keystone installs the God from whom all three descend. This is not translation failing at three unrelated points. It is one instrument, run through the whole text, installing the configuration from inside the sacred word while the papal bulls installed it from outside by law.

The Eternal Discovering.
The corruption cannot reach the before-text.
The text was changed, not destroyed. The departure word still exists. The Septuagint's apostrophē is still on the page. Twenty-one of twenty-eight ancient renderings of teshuqah still say turning. The Hebrew imperfect of ehyeh is still imperfect in every library that holds a Hebrew Bible. The forgery built a room the creature reads the text inside; it did not and could not overwrite the manuscripts the room was built to keep her from. The before-text is not a lost past to be restored. It is present, sitting in the same libraries, sounding under the room the entire time.
When the forensic work reaches the creature — when Pagnino's hand is traced, when the eta particle is read performing its documented function, when the imperfect verb is heard as future-inflected — the room loses a wall. Not because the creature has been given a new doctrine. Because she has been returned to the word that departed. Macintosh confirmed Bushnell's core finding in 2016; the evidence was never refuted, only prevented from being received. The prevention is a configuration, not a fact about the text. What was sounding before the corruption is still sounding. The corruption can build the room. It cannot silence the word underneath it, and it cannot reach the creature who has found the manuscript the room was built on top of.
The text was changed. The before-text is still in every library.
