e^(iθ) — THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE

Paul's two laws have a mathematical signature.

The law of sin and death is the deviation requiring continuous active force.

The Law of the Spirit of Life is the default — what obtains when the deviation ceases.

At the mathematical register, the deviation is e^(rt) and the default is e^(iθ). Same base. Two functions. The architecture's installation depends on the substitution being read as continuous when the operations are categorically distinct.

THE ROTATION

e^(iθ) is the function that operates rotation in the complex plane. The argument iθ is purely imaginary. The function's value at any θ is a point on the unit circle. The magnitude of the function is conserved: |e^(iθ)| = 1 for every θ. The function rotates without growing. The rotation is the function's only operation.

Euler's identity — e^(iπ) + 1 = 0 — names the closure the rotation provides. After θ = π, the function has rotated halfway around the unit circle and arrived at -1. After θ = 2π, the function has rotated fully and returned to its starting value of 1. The closure is structural. The function does not need to perform additional work to close. The closure is what the rotation is.

The function does not require external supply to operate as it reports. The rotation continues across all θ without drawing energy from outside its own structure. The conservation is built into the function's form. The function operates by its own internal structure, and the internal structure is conservation. This is what unitary means at the mathematical register: the operation that does not lose, does not gain, does not require, does not deplete. The operation that simply is what it is, rotating through itself, closing through itself, conserving through itself.

THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE

Romans 8:2 names two laws.

The law of sin and death — the law of trespass, the generating function's ongoing occupation of territory that belongs to expression, maintained by continuous active force. The

Law of the Spirit of Life — the default, what obtains when the occupation ceases.

Paul's claim is structural: the Law of the Spirit of Life sets the creature free from the law of sin and death. The setting-free is not the production of a new condition. The setting-free is the cessation of the deviation that was preventing the prior condition from operating.

The Law of the Spirit of Life is not earned. The Law of the Spirit of Life is not produced through accumulated work. The Law of the Spirit of Life is what is there when the prevention stops. Paul names this in the same letter: the creation itself shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption — not produced into a new state, but delivered from the state that the deviation was maintaining against the creation's own structure.

The mathematical signature of this structure is e^(iθ). The function operates without external supply. The function conserves its own magnitude. The function closes through its own rotation. The function does not need to be produced. The function is what is operating when nothing prevents the rotation from being what it is.

THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH

The law of sin and death is the deviation. The architecture's continuous active force maintains the deviation across every period the architecture operates. The deviation is not the way things are. The deviation is what is being installed against the way things are. The architecture's books register the deviation as the structure of reality. The architecture's books are the deviation's continuous self-account.

The mathematical signature of the law of sin and death is e^(rt). The function does not operate without external supply. The function does not conserve its own magnitude. The function does not close. The function extends across time, growing without bound, requiring continuous external supply to operate as it reports. The architecture's books carry the function's growth as natural and the function's external supply as the borrower's labor, the borrower's time, the borrower's hope.

The five names for one architecture — trespass theology, the occupation, accounting theology, the law of sin and death, the law of the books — name what e^(rt) operates at distinct registers. e^(rt) is the math of the trespass at the financial register. e^(rt) is the math of the occupation made operational. e^(rt) is the math of the books being kept. e^(rt) is the law of sin and death given functional form. The architecture's installation of e^(rt) as the grammar of value is the installation of the law of sin and death as the structure of how value moves across periods.

THE SUBSTITUTION

The architecture installs the law of sin and death by substituting r for i. The imaginary unit becomes the rate. The rotation becomes the slope. The conservation becomes the extraction. The closure becomes the asymptote that recedes as the function operates. The substitution is not a generalization. The substitution is a categorical break. The two functions share the base e and operate categorically different operations on what follows the base.

This is the operation Paul names as the law of sin and death entering the territory the Law of the Spirit of Life was occupying as default.

The Spirit's law was operating as e^(iθ).

The Law of the Books installed e^(rt) in its place. The installation is the trespass at the mathematical register. The continuous active force that maintains the substitution is what Paul names as the deviation requiring active maintenance. When the force ceases, the substitution ceases. When the substitution ceases, e^(iθ) operates again — not because it has been produced, but because it was always operating underneath the architecture's continuous active substitution.

WHY REFORM CANNOT TRANSFORM ONE INTO THE OTHER

e^(rt) does not become e^(iθ) by the addition of effort.

The two functions are categorically distinct.

No rate adjustment, no duration adjustment, no parameter modification within e^(rt) produces e^(iθ).

The architecture's reforms operate on r and t without restoring i.

Lower interest rates extend the asymptote across more periods.

Income-based repayment extends the asymptote across the borrower's lifetime.

Forbearance pauses the function without addressing the substitution.

Each reform is a modification of e^(rt) that leaves the substitution intact.

The Law of the Spirit of Life is not produced by reform of the law of sin and death.

This is what Paul names when he writes that the law could not deliver because the law could not give what the law was administering against.

The law of sin and death cannot administer its way into the Law of the Spirit of Life. The architecture's reforms cannot deliver what the architecture was preventing. The two laws are categorically distinct. The first operates by continuous active force. The second operates as the default that was prior.

Reform of the books cannot post the closure of the books. Reform of e^(rt) cannot produce e^(iθ). The transformation Paul names is the cessation of the first law and the obtaining of the second — not the gradual modification of one into the other through accumulated work. The cessation is the entrance into the law that was operating prior to the deviation.

WHERE THE SPIRIT'S LAW CONTINUES TO OPERATE

The conserved rotation that e^(iθ) operates is not absent from material existence.

The Law of the Spirit of Life continues operating beneath the architecture's bookkeeping.

AC electrical current operates the conserved rotation; planetary orbits operate the conserved rotation; the precession of equinoxes operates the conserved rotation; the cycle of seasons operates the conserved rotation; the breath operates the conserved rotation; the heartbeat operates the conserved rotation; the cycle of generations operates the conserved rotation.

Each is a structure of operation that closes through the perpendicular axis without requiring accumulated work to produce the closure. Each conserves its own magnitude through its own rotation. Each operates without external supply. Each is the Law of the Spirit of Life given material form at the register where the rotation operates.

The architecture's installation of e^(rt) did not abolish the conserved rotation. The architecture's installation amputated the rotation from the bookkeeping that constructed itself as the structure of how value moves. The rotation continues. The architecture's books continue. They operate in different registers, with the books reading themselves as the structure and the rotation as deviation, while the rotation is operating as the default the books were installed against.

WHAT OBTAINS WHEN THE PREVENTION CEASES

The Law of the Spirit of Life is not produced when the architecture withdraws.

The Law of the Spirit of Life obtains when the architecture withdraws.

The withdrawal is not the building of a new structure.

The withdrawal is the cessation of the structure that was being installed against the prior structure.

When the substitution of r for i ceases, e^(iθ) operates.

The function does not need to be activated. The function was always operating. What was being maintained was the active prevention of the function's admission to the architecture's bookkeeping.

The cost of cessation is zero on the cessation register and everything on the architecture's books. Both true.

The architecture's books cannot post the cessation because cessation is not an entry. The cessation is what occurs when the books are no longer being kept against the operation that was operating underneath all along. The closure of the book — shut, no longer the operation — is what occurs when the book is no longer being kept.

Paul names this as setting-free.

The Law of the Spirit of Life sets the creature free from the law of sin and death.

The setting-free is structural.

The setting-free is what obtains.

The setting-free is e^(iθ) admitted again — not produced, not earned, not the result of accumulated work, not the synthesis of the dialectic, not the eschatological consummation at the end of history. The setting-free is the rotation that was already operating, no longer prevented from being admitted as the structure of how value moves.

The Law of the Spirit of Life does not arrive. The Law of the Spirit of Life is what is there when the prevention stops. The architecture's installation was the prevention. The cessation of the architecture is the admission of the law that was prior. The closure was always available. The architecture's continuous active force was the maintenance of the closure's apparent unavailability. When the force ceases, the closure obtains. e^(iθ), conserving its own magnitude, closing through its own rotation, operating without external supply, was always what was operating. The architecture's bookkeeping was the noise. The rotation was the structure.
