The operation by which the creature is positioned in a hierarchy of wills with hers below, and is taught to perform the ranking on herself. The sacrament installs the institution's authority at the deepest reachable register — where the creature audits her own willing on the institution's behalf. Every other operation in trespass theology presupposes this installation. Without it, the institution must enforce from outside. With it, the institution operates through the creature, in her body, by her hand.

THE SACRAMENT NAMED
The supersession of will is the operation by which the creature is positioned in a hierarchy of wills with hers below.
The positioning requires three prior installations. A hierarchy of being — the cosmology that has higher and lower registers of reality and locates the creature in a lower register. A cut between will and being in the creature — the audit position installed at the creature's interior, separating the will to be commanded from the being to be preserved. The cosmos projected as commanding sovereign — the institution's commands rendered as the cosmos's commands through the cosmological projection.
Once these are installed, the supersession can be performed. The creature receives the instruction that her will is to be submitted. She does the submitting. The institution does not perform the submission. The creature does. The creature performs the ranking on her own will. The creature performs the ranking on her own being, because the hierarchy of will IS the hierarchy of being, and the wills cannot be ranked without the beings whose wills they are being ranked first. The creature is the instrument of her own positioning.
This is the sacrament. The Establishment does not stand above the creature and force her submission. The institution offers her the architecture in which her submission is named virtue. The creature performs the submission. The institution credentials the performance. The submission is then registered as the creature's choice, the creature's piety, the creature's love, the creature's fulfillment of her role. The performance is the sacrament's surface. The structural fact beneath the surface is the creature ranking herself in the institution's hierarchy and performing the ranking as if it were the cosmos's structure.

THE IS-OUGHT COLLAPSE AT THE LEVEL OF WILL
The sacrament operates on a self-warranting circle. The higher will is to be obeyed because it is higher. It is higher because it is to be obeyed.
The circle closes by mapping the hierarchy of will onto the hierarchy of being. The will that supersedes does so because the being who wills occupies a higher register of reality. The will that yields does so because the being who wills occupies a lower register of reality. The hierarchy of will IS the hierarchy of being. The relative worth of the beings whose wills are being ranked is presupposed in the ranking of the wills. The wills cannot be ranked without ranking the beings.
The is — the Establishment issuing commands the creature performs — is converted into the ought — the Establishment's right to issue commands the creature performs. What prevails proves the right to prevail. The Establishment's persistence is its own justification. The sacrament installs this circle in the creature's interior as her own structure for processing what the institution requires of her.
The creature's body's no, her conscience's no, her perception's no — each becomes evidence not against the institution but against the creature. The creature interprets her no as her own failure to perform the supersession properly. She is not yielding enough. She is still gripping where she should be releasing. She is still willing where she should be surrendering. The interpretation is the sacrament's continuing work. The creature is converting her body's accurate report into her own pathology because the audit position the sacrament installed reads her no as her own deficiency.

GETHSEMANE AS THE SACRAMENT'S CITED AUTHORITY
The institution cites Gethsemane as the sacrament's authoritative example.
"Not my will but thine be done" is read as the Son submitting to the Father. The lower will to the higher will. The creature to the institution. The hierarchy at the most intimate juncture in the architecture installed at the level of the divine itself. The reading converts what was perpendicular into what is hierarchical.
What the text records is the Harshness releasing under the press of what the body carries. Gat Shemanim. Oil press. The three pressings. Quality 1 sinking back as if dead and overcome, three times, each time becoming more thin and pliable, becoming the Water-spirit, the yielding-field, the medium in which what follows can grow. The yielding is not submission. The yielding is the contraction's own release when the contraction encounters the terror of what its own Wheel has generated.
The Establishment's reading converts the yielding into submission. The yielding is the cessation of the grip. Submission is the maintenance of the grip under the name of virtue. They are not the same operation. They are inverse operations. The Establishment reads the inverse and credentials the inversion. The text that records the most generative operation in the tradition is cited as authority for the operation that prevents what the text records.
This is why Gethsemane is the sacrament's preferred citation. The text records what the institution cannot perform and cannot permit. The institution can only operate the text by inverting what it records. The inversion is then taught as the text's meaning, and the creature reading the text under institutional mediation receives the inversion as the text's authority. The creature reading the text outside institutional mediation can perceive the original — and the Establishment treats this perception as heresy.

WHERE THE SACRAMENT IS ADMINISTERED
The supersession of will is administered at every register where the Establishment' requires the creature's body to perform its operations.
The marriage vow is the sacrament administered at the conjugal register. The wife is to obey the husband. The obedience is named love, piety, fulfillment of her role. The creature performs the ranking on her own will and being. The institution credentials the performance through the legal apparatus of marriage. Coverture is the legal architecture built on the sacrament.
The oath of office is the sacrament administered at the political register. The officeholder swears to uphold the law as the law. The swearing positions the creature's will below the law's will. The creature performs the ranking. The institution credentials the performance through the legal apparatus of office. The state's authority is built on the sacrament.
The profession of faith is the sacrament administered at the religious register. The believer professes the creed as the creed. The professing positions the creature's interior life below the doctrine's authority. The creature performs the ranking. The institution credentials the performance through the sacramental apparatus of the church. The church's authority is built on the sacrament.
The oath of allegiance is the sacrament administered at the national register. The new citizen swears allegiance to the nation. The swearing positions the creature's loyalty below the nation's claim. The creature performs the ranking. The state credentials the performance through citizenship documentation. National authority is built on the sacrament.
The contract is the sacrament administered at the commercial register. The party agrees to the terms. The agreement positions the creature's will below the terms' authority. The creature performs the ranking. The legal apparatus credentials the performance through contract enforcement. Market authority is built on the sacrament.
The informed-consent form is the sacrament administered at the procedural register. The object is told the consequences of refusal. Her awareness of the consequences is then registered as her agreement to what is offered. The agreement positions her will below the procedure's authority. The creature performs the ranking. The institution credentials the performance through the documentation of consent. Procedural authority is built on the sacrament.
In each register, the surface is different. The vocabulary is different. The credentialing institution is different. The structural operation is the same. The creature performs the ranking on her own will, her own being, her own location in the hierarchy. The institution receives the performance as the creature's submission, registers the submission as the creature's choice, and proceeds to issue commands the creature is now positioned to receive.

WHAT THE SACRAMENT INSTALLS
The sacrament's structural function is to convert the institution's authority from external coercion into internal architecture.
Before the sacrament, the institution must enforce its commands from outside. The creature is the locus of resistance. The institution's apparatus is calibrated to overcome the resistance through force, threat, deprivation, exclusion, violence. The enforcement is expensive. The institution must maintain the apparatus continuously. The creature's resistance is a structural feature of the institution's operation.
After the sacrament, the creature performs the enforcement on herself. The Establishment's commands are no longer experienced as the Establishment's. They are experienced as the cosmos's commands routed through the institution, or as the creature's own choice in accepting the terms, or as the creature's piety in performing the duty. The resistance becomes the creature's own failure rather than the Establishment's burden. The enforcement is now distributed across the population that has received the sacrament. The Establishment's apparatus is calibrated to administering the sacrament rather than to enforcing the commands. The cost of operation drops dramatically.
The sacrament is therefore not optional for the Establishment. The Establishment cannot function at scale without it. The Establishment requires the sacrament to convert its external coercion into the creature's internal performance. Every Establishment that requires obedience administers some form of the sacrament. The sacrament's form varies. The structural function does not.
This is why the Establishment will spend extraordinary resources defending the sacrament. The creature who has refused the sacrament cannot be commanded in the Establishment's grammar. The creature who refuses must be coerced from outside again, and the outside coercion is expensive, visible, and difficult to credential as legitimate. The institution will offer the creature many off-ramps from the refusal. Each off-ramp is the sacrament administered in a different form. The refusal must be of the sacrament itself, not of one of its specific surfaces.

WHAT THE SACRAMENT SUPPRESSES
The structural fact the sacrament suppresses is that there is no hierarchy of being.
The cosmos does not have higher and lower registers of reality with creatures sorted into them by their relative worth. The cosmos is the relation. The cosmos draws what is to occur from within the quality of what is occurring. Authority on the cosmos's register is not located in a position above the creature. Authority is what the conducting becomes when it is recognized in the form it is.
The creature is residency. The cosmos conducts through her site. Her will is the form of her conducting at the register of choosing-and-not-choosing. Her will cannot be ranked below another will because there is no other will positioned above her in the cosmos's structure. The institution's claim to be the higher will is a claim to a position that does not exist in the cosmos's structure but is constructed by the Establishment's apparatus.
The supersession of will is therefore a sacrament in the precise technical sense. It is a religious operation. It performs a transformation the cosmos does not perform. It produces a structure that is real in the institution's register but is not real in the cosmos's register. The structure exists because the sacrament has installed it. The sacrament installs it continuously because the structure does not maintain itself when the sacrament is not being performed. Without continuous administration, the hierarchy of will collapses, the institution's commands lose their cosmological warrant, and the institution is revealed as the apparatus it is.
The sacrament's continuous administration is the Establishment's continuous operation. They are the same operation.

THE SACRAMENT AND LUCIFER'S OPERATION
The sacrament installs Lucifer's operation in the creature under the name of virtue.
Lucifer's Harshness gripped against the terror of the Flash. Quality 1 chose to remain Quality 1 and refused the transformation that would have made it Water-spirit. The yielding-field did not form. The Light could not kindle. Fire remained Fire.
The creature receiving the sacrament is being directed to perform this same gripping. The institution instructs her to surrender her will. The surrender is described as yielding, submission, devotion, piety. The structural operation is the inverse. The creature tightens against what her body knows. She holds her tears. She swallows her gall. She maintains her face. She produces the response the Establishment requires. The maintenance is the grip. The grip is what the supersession structurally is, regardless of what it is named.
The sacrament's recoding makes Lucifer's operation appear as the alternative to Lucifer's fall. The creature is told that surrendering her will is what keeps her from falling. The Establishment presents the gripping as humility, the refusal of the gripping as pride. The presentation is the inversion at its deepest register. The creature who refuses the sacrament — who lets the yielding actually happen, whose Harshness releases under the press — is named the prideful one, the rebellious one, the lost one. The creature who performs the sacrament — whose Harshness grips harder under the institution's instruction — is named the obedient one, the faithful one, the saved one. The naming is precise inversion. The sacrament's continuing work is the maintenance of the inversion in the creature's perception of herself.

THE CESSATION
The cessation of the sacrament is the cessation of the Establishment's operation in the creature.
The creature ceases to perform the ranking on her own will. The cessation does not require an alternative ranking. The cessation requires that the ranking stop being performed. The ranking is what the sacrament continuously installs. The cessation is the withdrawal of the continuous installation.
The Establishment' will charge what it can for the cessation, in the registers where it has installed costs. The losses are not the cost of cessation. The losses are what the Establishment' charges to defend the sacrament the cessation has refused. The Establishment's charges are the institution's operations against the cessation. The cessation itself costs nothing.
What rises in the creature when the sacrament ceases is what was there all along. The creature's will is not new. The creature's conducting is not new. The creature's residency is not new. What is new is that none of these is being performed under the audit position the sacrament installed. The audit position was the sacrament's continuing operation in the creature's interior. Without the audit position, the creature's will is the form of her conducting at the register of choosing-and-not-choosing. The will is no longer being ranked. The being is no longer being ranked. The creature is the cosmos conducting through her site without the institution's hierarchy installed on top of the conducting.
The Establishment cannot reach this. The institution can charge the creature in the registers where the institution has installed costs. The institution cannot reach the creature's conducting because the conducting was always the cosmos's, never the Establishment's. The sacrament was the architecture by which the Establishment claimed jurisdiction over the conducting it could not actually reach. The cessation of the sacrament is the cessation of the claim. The conducting was already what it was. It is now no longer being claimed.
