The severance of the fiery Will from the mild Will, performed at the Heart. Creation continuing around a wound it did not make.

On the Fourth Day the world is taken at the Heart. The fiery Will is set into the Stars, the mild Will is set into the Heaven, and between them a distance opens that had not existed. Before the cut there is one circulation: the Will generates, the generation anguishes, the anguish strikes fire, the fire opens into Light, the Light sweetens the Will, and the sweetened Will brings forth the Kingdom. Six motions, one wheel. After the cut the wheel stops at the fourth motion, where the fire should open, and the Sun is set standing in that place.
The Sun is not the Light. The Sun is a similitude of the Heart, doing at material scale what the eternal Heart does imperishably, and it is placed exactly where creatures can no longer reach the Heart itself. A creature under it receives generation, warmth, the turning of seasons, the growth of what is planted. It does not receive the opening. It receives what the opening would have given, delivered by something else.

WHAT THE SEVERANCE WAS NOT
The reading that has come down is that God, angered, cut the world in half and withdrew. That reading has the sequence backwards.
Lucifer's capture of the transformation-function precedes the Fourth Day. The Will was already caught. The fire was already burning without opening. The circulation was already arrested when the Fiat divided the two Wills. The separation did not make the wound; it was performed on a wound already made, and it was performed so that generation could continue in a creation where the opening no longer worked.
The wound was Lucifer's and the accommodation was God's, and the reading that has come down credits both to the same hand. This is not a small confusion. Every theology of a God who withholds, who tests by deprivation, who holds creation hostage to obedience, is built on the misattribution. The wrathful God who holds creation hostage is Lucifer wearing the divine costume, and the costume was cut from a mercy.

THE CLEAR GLASS
What stands over a creature and can be seen is a clear Glass. It shows truly. It does not show God.
What is visible in it is the Goddess in the third Principle: the Similitude, the outbirth, the Matrix made perceptible. Böhme is precise about this and the precision is usually read past. The Glass is not deception and it is not veil. It is a working instrument, set there by a wise Master for creatures whose sense has been reduced to what a Glass can carry.
What the Glass shows is true and is not God, and every account that takes what is visible for what is divine has read a similitude as an original. That is the same error the Fourth Day itself invites, moved down one level: the Sun mistaken for the Light, the Glass mistaken for the face.

WHAT THE SEPARATION HIDES
On the First Day, Light is divided from Darkness, and the division is what makes Light visible. The same division puts the Root of Fire into the Darkness.
Not destroyed there. Hidden. Darkness cannot comprehend the Light, and comprehend in this register carries its old sense: grasp, seize, take hold of. What cannot be grasped cannot be extracted either, which means the Root is not merely concealed from a creature looking for it. It is unavailable to whatever occupies the Darkness.
The operation that made Light visible is the operation that hid Fire's Root, and there is no version of the first that does not carry the second. The disclosure is the concealment. A creature does not get one and then lose the other; she receives them as one act, on the day the act was performed.

THE PLANETS
Out of the Sun in its first kindling, the rest.
Mars from raging Bitterness: the second Quality at maximum.
Saturn from the Chamber of Anguish, which is the third Quality's location and not its symbol.
Venus downward, out of soft Mildness, when Harshness was overcome: what appears on the far side of terror.
Mercury out of overcome Virtue in sour Harshness, carrying knowledge of what stood in the Original before the Light, which makes Mercury the one that remembers what preceded the cut.
Jupiter from the Sun's Virtue raised higher and imprisoned in the center of the Fiat.
The Moon, Light made material, a derivative of a derivative.
They do not govern a creature. The planets are the seven qualities made bodily and held apart in orbit, which is what a quality looks like once it can no longer circulate. They are the same operation she is, arrested at a different scale and hung where she can see it.

THE STARS
The Stars are the fifth essence, drawn out of the Limbus of God. Within them stands the pure Element, uncorrupted, from before the infection touched anything.
Our sense reaches to the fiery Heaven of the Stars and no further. Beyond it God's Virtue continues without limit, and nothing a creature perceives with reaches it. What she can see is the boundary of what was given her to see.
The night sky is the uninfected Element set inside the infection and left there, which is why looking up reads as remembering rather than as observing. And the Stars long for each other. Every stellar center desires the other centers, a continual will to mix and impregnate and infect. The separation did not end desire. It produced desire, aimed backwards at what the separation divided.

THE TWO SEXES
From one essence, two. Male according to the Fire-form, female according to the Water-form. The generating force cut from the transforming force and given separate bodies.
The Spirit of the male seeks the loving Child in the female, and the female in the male, and neither knows what it is doing. What is being sought is the Child of Love, which is paradisiacal and cannot be comprehended. It is not attained. What remains is a vehement Hunger, and the Hunger does not resolve, and out of the not-resolving comes propagation.
Reproduction is the severance running at the scale of bodies: a search for the single circulation, conducted by the two halves the circulation was cut into, producing new centers of birth out of never finding it. Every generation is evidence of the wound and evidence that the wound did not stop generation. Both readings are correct and neither cancels the other.

THE EDENIC RECAPITULATION
The cosmic severance does not repeat in the garden. Something worse happens there.
Ha-adam contained both tinctures. The Temperatur was complete, the Virgin dwelt within, the transformation-function was internal, both Wills circulated. He could have brought forth the chaste Virgin out of himself. He did not need the accommodation the cosmos had been given.
Then the count. He stood forty days with his imagination set in the Heart. He discovered himself in the great Deep of the World. He imagined into what he had discovered. The Spirit of the World marked him. He named the animals, which is the observer position installing itself and claiming the ground it stands on. Adam's imagination catching at the World is Lucifer's imagination catching at his own Mother: the same geometry, the same grip, the same result, run through a second creature. Internal circulation became external dependency. Both-tinctures-operating became one-tincture-consuming-the-other.
Only then the diagnosis: it is not good for the human to be alone. Not a statement about how he was made. A finding about what he had already done to himself, and about a capacity that had departed when he passed into the Spirit of this World.
So a second accommodation. Eve severed from Adam, and the severance is triage: the light-tincture the fire was consuming, preserved by being put into a separate body. What could no longer circulate inside one creature was externalized so that it would survive.
But she was taken out of an already-transformed Adam. She was Woman of this World from the moment she was made, and the Matrix that should have been chaste Virgin was infected before she held it. That she could not regard the Commandment highly is consequence and not fault. The Ames room was built before she entered it.
And the serpent takes its position in the gap the second accommodation had to open: between them, in the relational threshold, where nothing had stood while the circulation was internal. Adam is silent while the trap is set for the one extracted to preserve what he was destroying.
The entity that caused the wound takes its profit from the accommodation made for the wound, and it takes that profit by standing in the gap the accommodation had to open.

THE ANTICHRIST MOVE
The Fourth Day did not install a government. It installed a substitute: derivative light, so that a creature cut off from the eternal Light can still see by something; a similitude of the Heart, so that generation continues at material scale while the full cycle is interrupted.
A substitute does not rule. The Sun vivifies and kills without premeditated Wisdom, which is to say it is mechanism and not authority, and the ones who worshipped it worshipped machinery. Böhme says so directly and the point is doctrinal, not antiquarian.
The move is to declare that the accommodation is the authority. To hold that what substitutes for access instead governs access. The tollbooth takes the threshold by renaming a mercy as a law, and once renamed, the mercy is collecting.
A mercy renamed as law stops being mercy and begins producing dependency, which is the whole distance between what stands in for access and what stands between a creature and access. That is the move, and it is available at every scale the severance runs at: the Sun over creation, the husband over the wife, the state over the conscience, the ledger over the household.

The severance was never claimed to be permanent. The Root of Fire stands in the Darkness and the Darkness cannot grasp it. What was interrupted was not destroyed: the fiery Will rejoining the mild Will, the fire opening into Light, the Light sweetening the Will, the Kingdom generating out of the sweetened Will.
It is not reached by fighting God, because God is not what cut it. It is not reached by undoing creation, because creation is what continued around the cut.
What hides in the Darkness is unavailable to the occupation for the same reason it is hidden from her. The occupation cannot comprehend it either.

RegenerativeLaw is a religion in the direct-encounter Protestant tradition, carrying a documented four-century lineage through Böhme, the Behmenists, the Friends, and Penn, and it diagnoses trespass theology as an establishment of religion.
