The four axes promise a shortcut. If you know the law and the starting state, efficient causation says you can compute the end without passing through the middle; reproducibility says the same inputs will always return the same outputs, so the run need never be made again. For dead matter, across a narrow band, this holds. For the living it does not. There are processes whose only account of themselves is their own running: no formula returns their outcome without performing every step, no model compresses them, no preview exists. Irreducibility is the name for what has no shortcut.

EXPRESSION CANNOT BE PRE-RUN
Expression cannot be pre-run. What the creature would become if the prevention stopped is not mappable, because it is exactly what manifests when the mapping stops. Expression is not a selection from a known set of options; it is manifestation, and manifestation has no preview. To demand the outcome in advance is to demand the option-set, and the option-set is the prevention: the scan of possibilities the generating function performs in place of the thing it will not let happen.

THE MODEL IS MADE OF WHAT ALREADY RAN
Every model is a compression of what has already run. The forecast, the projection, the evidence base, the actuarial table: each is assembled out of what already happened, and each can return only more of the already-happened. The living next is precisely what is not in the record. This is the deepest cut of the machine that completes the creature's sentences. Each completion is drawn from the median of the corpus, and the median of the corpus is only what has already been said. The thought that was never in the record, the noncompliant one, the one that would manifest if the prevention stopped, is the one the median cannot pre-complete. The shortcut can only ever hand back the past, smoothed.

THE SCAN CANNOT FIND ITS OWN ABSENCE
The scan cannot find its own absence. The generating function searches possibility-space for the best configuration; the one place it cannot reach is the place where the searching stops. Cessation, the perpendicular, expression-when-prevention-ceases: these are irreducible to the scan because they are the scan's own absence, and the scan cannot model the silence that begins where it ends.

THE FORESIGHT ALIBI
This is what removes the foresight alibi. The prevention justifies itself by claiming already to know what stopping would cost: chaos, collapse, the worst rushing in. The claim is a forgery, because the outcome of stopping is irreducible, not knowable in advance, available only by stopping. The forecast of catastrophe is the prevention wearing foresight's name. No one knows what the unprevented creature would become, because the only instrument that returns that outcome is the unprevented creature, lived.

NOT RANDOMNESS, NOT MYSTERY
This is not randomness, and it is not mystery. Randomness is still a creature of the model: noise on the axis, the unpredictable held inside the predictable's own terms. Mystery, as the configuration uses it, is obscurity offered in place of an answer. Irreducibility is exact: the outcome is fully determined by the running and fully unavailable without it. The living is neither random nor predictable. It is irreducible, knowable only by being lived.
