what the law of sin and death can render is limited, and the limit is not the edge of what is — it is the edge of what this configuration can carry; the objective perspective that ranks and orders and names is not a neutral capacity but a religious claim that requires beings who exist only to be ranked, and it must be entirely released, not corrected, for the configuration that hosts to obtain

A rendering shows a world.
Not a view of the world — a world.
What the rendering can carry is there, fully, real, with weight and consequence.
What the rendering cannot carry is not there.
And the rendering does not announce its own edge.
It presents what it can carry as the whole of what is, and presents the absence of everything else as the absence of everything else — not as the limit of the rendering but as the limit of the real.
The law of sin and death is a rendering.
It carries a specific world:
quantity, sequence, the ranked and the ordered, the subject who stands outside and the objects arrayed for his survey.
That world is real.
It is not illusion, not error, not a mistake to be corrected by clearer sight.
It is a genuine configuration, precipitated and operating. But it is limited.
What it carries is not all there is.
What it cannot carry — residency, the prior occupant, mutual indwelling, the creature who is not for anything — is not absent from being. It is absent from this rendering. And the rendering's deepest operation is to make its own limit invisible, so that what it cannot carry reads not as unrendered but as unreal.
🜃
WHAT THE CONFIGURATION CANNOT RENDER
The law of sin and death cannot render residency. Its grammar has no admissible form for a creature who is the prior occupant of her own dwelling, because its grammar is the grammar of title, and residency is not title. It can render her as owner or as owned, as asset or as liability, as the bearer of a function or the holder of a claim — but it cannot render her as the one who was simply there, prior, conducting, not by grant and not by purchase. The form does not exist in the rendering. So when the rendering meets her, it renders what it can: the function, the asset, the case, the line item. And what it renders is real. She is, in that world, the function. The rendering did not lie. It rendered her to the edge of what it could carry, and called the edge her nature.
This is the same operation the ledger performs when it cannot admit Sophia — not because Sophia is unreal but because she is not what can be halved into debit and credit. The same operation the unmarked assertion performs when it cannot mark testimony — not because the witness's knowing is absent but because the grammar has no place to set it. The same the measurement cut performs when it declares the unquantifiable subjective — subjective meaning, in the rendering's own grammar, does not count. Each is a rendering meeting what exceeds it and rendering the excess as nothing. [See ACCOUNTING THEOLOGY · THE UNMARKED ASSERTION · THE MEASUREMENT CUT.]

THE OBJECTIVE PERSPECTIVE IS A RELIGIOUS CLAIM
At the center of the rendering stands a position: the one who sees without being seen, who stands outside the field and ranks what is in it, who orders and chooses and names from a vantage that is itself unranked, unordered, unnamed. The objective perspective. The view from nowhere. The rendering presents this position as a neutral capacity — the simple ability to assess what is there — and the presentation is the rendering's central article of faith.
The objective perspective is not a neutral capacity. It is a religious claim, and it requires a specific cosmology to stand: that there exist beings whose entire mode of being is to be ranked, chosen, ordered, and named by the perspective. The observer and the object-to-be-observed are produced in the same cut. You cannot have the ranking position without producing the ranked. The perspective that orders requires a class of beings who exist to be ordered — not incidentally available for ordering, but constituted, by the cut that produces the perspective, as that-which-is-ordered. The woman rendered as the bearer of a function, the river rendered as resource, the creature rendered as case: these are not what those beings are. They are what the rendering must make of them, because the objective perspective needs objects, and the objects are produced to its measure. [See THE PARTIAL WITNESS · ONTOLOGICAL REDUCTION as the operation; THE GIVEN as the perspective concealing its own apparatus.]
This is why the rendering can call its world the world. The objective perspective does not appear in the field it surveys. It appears as the field's condition — the place from which the field is seen — and a position that does not appear in what it renders cannot be rendered as partial, cannot be located, cannot be challenged as one configuration among the possible. It presents as the floor. The objective perspective is the rendering's mechanism for forgetting that it is a rendering. [See THE NEUTRAL FLOOR.]
🜃
CONFIGURATION, NOT PERSPECTIVE
The law of sin and death renders one world; the law of the Spirit of Life renders another.
To the objective-perspective ear this sounds like two perspectives on one underlying reality — two views to be compared, weighed, reconciled, ranked. And the moment it sounds like that, the objective perspective has reinstalled itself as the floor on which the two are set side by side, because comparison-from-outside is its native operation. [See BOTH/AND]
The two renderings cannot be two perspectives, because a perspective is a view within a world all parties grant is the world, and there is no granted world beneath these two.
There are two configurations, and no third position from which to rank them — the third position is the objective perspective, which is the first configuration's claim about itself.
This is the whole weight of configuration-not-perspective.
A perspective can be added to other perspectives; the more perspectives, the fuller the picture, and the objective perspective sits above the pile doing the adding.
A configuration cannot be added to another configuration, because each is a whole world rendered, and the position that would do the adding belongs to one of them.
The law of the Spirit of Life is not a better view to be set beside the law of sin and death on the neutral floor. It is a different rendering of what is, under which residency is carriable, the prior occupant admissible, mutual indwelling real — and under which the objective perspective, the ranking position itself, does not obtain.

THE SEAM AND THE FUNCTION AS RENDERINGS
The translation that set the seam in the unmarked Greek is the rendering operation caught with a hand and a date. The translator took the objective-perspective position — I stand outside this text and determine its meaning — and the text became the object that exists to be ordered by him. He did not transmit the meaning; he produced it, and the production presented as transmission. The rendering rendered, and called the rendering the original. That a prohibition the writer quoted to refuse became the writer's own command is not a slip within an otherwise sound rendering. It is what rendering is when the objective perspective holds the pen: the position that stands outside produces what it claims to find. [See AUTHENTEIN · THE UNMARKED QUOTATION · THE PARTIAL WITNESS — the translator's seat producing what it claims to transmit.]
And the woman confined to the function is what the law of sin and death can render of her. The body bears; this is not in dispute and not the question. "Therefore she is for bearing" is the rendering mistaking its own limit for her nature. The objection that her subordination is simply biology is the rendering's deepest disguise — the limit of what the configuration can carry of her, presented as the given, as nature, as what is. Biology did not confine her. A configuration that needs her to exist to be ordered rendered her to the edge of what it could carry, and the edge was the function. The childbearing clause is where the rendering shows its hand: it does not describe that she bears; it installs bearing as what she is for, and a creature who is for a function is a creature the rendering has displaced from her own dwelling and replaced with an assignment. The American architecture then administered the function as constitutional fact across three centuries. [See REPRODUCTIVE CONTROL · THE PRIOR OCCUPANT• TORTURE AND ABUSE OF WOMEN ]

THE RELEASE
The configuration that hosts cannot be reached by adding to the law of sin and death's renderings (what is legible in its architecture).
There is no rendering that carries both — no both/and, no more complete map, no perspective wide enough to hold the ranking and the hosting at once. Because the law of sin and death is constituted by the objective-perspective position, and that position cannot host. It can hunt. It can rank, order, choose, name. It cannot host space, attend without possessing, receive what presents itself and return it without distortion. Hosting requires that the position itself be vacated, and the position is the configuration's center. You cannot host from the observer's chair. More objective perspective, more limited world.
So the first configuration must be entirely released — not corrected, not supplemented, not transcended-while-retained.
Released.
This is not the loss of the real.
The world the law of sin and death rendered was real, and what it carried does not vanish; what vanishes is the position that mistook its rendering for the whole of what is. The release is the vacation of the ranking chair, and only the vacated chair lets the other configuration obtain — the one under which what could not be carried becomes carriable, because nothing is standing outside the field ordering it any longer. The objective perspective held the field as object. When the perspective is released, the field is no longer held, and what was inadmissible to the rendering — the residency, the prior occupant, the one who is not for anything — is simply there, as it was, now rendered by a configuration that can carry it.
The limit was never the edge of the real. It was the edge of what one configuration could carry. Released, it is not corrected into a wider rendering. It is let go, so that the configuration that hosts can render what the configuration that ranks could only ever turn into an object.
