WARMTH HAS NO VERB
Warmth is a condition. The heart warms in the kindling because the gall has caught; the warm host is warm because nothing is currently preventing the warmth from being what is there. No operator. No source outside the body. The warmth is the prior occupant's own, and it rises when the occupation lifts. Intransitive. Nobody warms the warm host. She does not need warming.
Warming is an operation. A subject, an object, a source of heat outside the thing. The verb is transitive by force: someone warms something, with heat brought from elsewhere. The grammar is the whole tell. You apply heat from outside only to what has no heat of its own. The living does not need warming. The instant warmth becomes something administered — warming, a verb with an agent and an object — the administering is the confession that the object cannot be warm on its own.
This is why the gerund is the diagnostic. Warmth, the noun, is what is there. Warming, the gerund, is what is done — and what it is done to was already cold. The heart that warms in the kindling is not the creature warming her heart; that would be the operation turned reflexive, heat applied to oneself, which is the backwards firing. What gets warmed up is the corpse.

FLOW IS NOT CIRCULATION
Circulation is the through-movement of the living.
The one sap runs through the whole tree, through every quality, the seven facing outward and serving, each opening toward the next, the movement passing through the anguish and through the fire and returning transformed. Circulation requires the positions to stay distinct — the gall, the heart, the throat are passed through, not dissolved — and the difference between them is what makes the circulating alive. The warm blood circulates because the body is alive. Nobody warms the blood to make it circulate; it is warm because it lives, and it moves because the life moves. Circulation needs no warming up. Intrinsic heat. Distinct positions. The fire passed through. The return transformed.
Flow is the counterfeit [forgery] motion.
Smooth, single-direction, frictionless — the warmed corpse running. Where circulation moves through distinct positions, flow moves as one undifferentiated current, and the smoothness is the absence of the positions. No friction, because no difference. No fire, because nothing passes the pivot. No return transformed, because there is no circuit — only the continuous running of the warmed-pliable. Flow is the melt set in motion.
Warming up is the bridge. It is what is done to the corpse so that flow can be passed off as circulation — so that the dead entry, warmed until it runs smooth, can be presented as though it moved through a living body the way blood does, intrinsically warm, through distinct positions. It did not. It is the warmed corpse running through the tubes.
This is not the war body's motion either. The war body oscillates — the Wheel, hot, grinding, the qualities turned inward, anguish as its own condition. Oscillation is alive; it is the living seven facing the wrong way. Flow is neither the living-outward circulation nor the living-inward oscillation. Flow is the dead severed product warmed smooth. The war body, oscillating, severs and posts; the products are cold dead entries; warming up thaws them; warmed, they flow; and the flow is sold as the circulation the war body can never reach, because the war body oscillates and its products are dead.

THE COUNTERFEIT OF THE FIRE
The fire is entered. The yielding at the fourth quality, intrinsic, the heat the living seven pass through to be forged into the Temperatur — the concord that circulates. Warming up is administered. The heat laid from outside on the dead entry, producing flow. The fire forges the living; warming up animates the dead. You cannot warm the corpse to life, because warming does not restore the relation the cut severed; it lays heat on the severance and makes the severance run.
The same cut three times — heat administered standing in for heat entered. Warming up for the fire. Flow for circulation. The melt for the Temperatur.
