Two Vestments of the Same Incorporation
🜃
The Double Operation
The generating function does not merely trespass into expression's positions. It trespasses while telling the creature a story about what is happening. The story has two versions. Both prevent the same thing: the creature seeing that it is inside. One prevents by denying the inside. The other prevents by declaring the inside beautiful.
These are not two different operations. They are two faces of a single incorporation — the myth of separation and the myth of unity — and which face the creature encounters depends on the moment in the trespass's history. The older face declares the incorporation sacred. The newer face declares the incorporation illusory. Both produce the same creature: one that cannot locate its own boundary because the myth is what the creature perceives through.

The First Face: The Myth of Unity
The older vestment. The theological warrant. The two shall become one flesh — and the one is the one that was already dominant. The incorporation declared as love. The swallowing declared as communion. The dissolution of the creature's boundary declared as the highest good the creature can attain.
Under the myth of unity, the creature is told that inside is where it belongs. That the incorporation is marriage, family, body of Christ, body politic, team, nation. That the dissolution of the creature's autonomous coordinates is not loss but fulfillment. That what was face-to-face — ezer k'negdo, strength meeting strength — was always meant to become one-inside-the-other. The face-to-face was rendered as help. The correspondence was rendered as subordination. The k'negdo was rendered as suitability. The original was not merely inverted. The original was murdered so that the incorporation could wear the name of the original.
The myth of unity has its own specific violence. When the creature asserts boundary, the assertion is pathologized as betrayal of the unity itself. Not you did something wrong — that is the myth of separation's punishment. But you are attacking us. You are ripping the family apart. You are destroying what we built together. You are abandoning the body. The creature's reconstitution of its own coordinates is experienced by the generating function as a wound to love itself. The resistance becomes evidence of the creature's defection from communion.
This is the deeper capture. Under the myth of separation, the creature's punishment is labeled as the creature's failure. Under the myth of unity, the creature's boundary is labeled as the creature's sin. The creature that tries to leave is not merely failing — it is betraying. The body does not release its organs. The organ that declares itself a body is committing autoimmune disorder.

The Second Face: The Myth of Separation
The modern vestment. Post-Enlightenment. The incorporation hidden by the declaration of freedom. The creature is told it is separate, autonomous, its own. The trespass continues while the creature is told the trespass has ended, or never occurred, or occurs elsewhere.
The telling is not a lie told to cover a truth. The telling is the trespass's own form. The fiction of separation IS the incorporation. The creature was incorporated through the story that it was not incorporated. It looks at itself and sees: separate, autonomous, free. This seeing is the trespass operating.
The wedding ceremony is the forensic evidence of the transition between faces. Blackstone's formulation — the very being or legal existence of the woman is suspended during the marriage, or at least is incorporated and consolidated into that of the husband — names the myth of unity: inside is where you belong. The modern ceremony performs something else: union of equals, partnership, mutual love. The myth of separation has arrived. The incorporation continues. The vestment has changed.
The creature walks in separate. The creature walks out inside. But the ceremony tells the creature it walked in separate and walked out together — not that it walked out inside. The moment of incorporation is hidden by the story told at the moment of incorporation.

The Prize as Payment
The myth of separation produces its own evidence. The creature that performs separation while remaining inside receives the prize — recognition, platform, the experience of having mattered. The prize is not reward for achievement. The prize is payment for not-seeing.
The prize-receiving creature genuinely cannot see its own incorporation. Not because it is foolish. Because the myth of separation IS the incorporation's mechanism. To see the incorporation would cost the creature everything the prizes purchased. Every prize was payment for a specific blindness. To see would require returning the payment. The creature that sees becomes the Witch.
The myth of unity had its own reward structure — not prizes but honor. The wife who performed the unity faithfully was honored as virtuous. The subject who dissolved into the body politic was honored as loyal. The cost of seeing was not returning prizes but losing honor — becoming the unfaithful wife, the disloyal subject, the apostate. The myth of unity burned the Witch for blasphemy. The myth of separation burns the Witch for disruption. The burning is the same. The charge has changed.

The Fractal
The double operation repeats at every scale. The wife incorporated while being told she is partner. The worker incorporated while being told she is team member. The citizen incorporated while being told she is sovereign. The colonized nation incorporated while being told it is developing. At every scale, the incorporation includes the fiction that the creature remains outside what has swallowed it — or the declaration that the inside is the creature's proper home.
Coverture is the template because it names the operation with maximum precision. Suspended. Incorporated. Consolidated. Under whose wing, protection, and cover, she performs every thing. The legal language names each step of the double operation: the existence paused, the body absorbed, the performance continuing — all of it under cover. The formulation confesses what the ceremony hides.
The corporation names it too: in-corporare, made into the body of another. The worker's labor does not become external property — it becomes internal function. The worker operates as organ of the corporate body. The worker persists, but as function of another body. The persistence is taken as evidence that nothing was taken.

Why the Myth Cannot Be Named From Inside
Under either face, the creature inside the myth cannot perceive the myth because the myth is what the creature perceives through. The myth is not a belief the creature holds. The myth is the perceptual field the creature inhabits. The creature sees through separation — or through unity — the way it sees through its own eyes. It cannot turn the lens around and see the lens.
The Witch is burned under both faces because the Witch names not the trespass but the myth. The trespass can be named and absorbed. The myth cannot. The creature that names the myth makes visible the perceptual field the other creatures inhabit without knowing they inhabit it. The prize-receiving creature's entire economy depends on the field remaining invisible. The honored wife's entire position depends on the unity remaining sacred. The burning is the economy protecting itself.
The creature punished for acting on the myth — the Petitioner — believed whichever face it was shown. Under the myth of separation, it acted as if separate and was punished: too aggressive, too ambitious, too difficult, too much. Under the myth of unity, it acted as if belonging conferred rights and was punished: ungrateful, disloyal, biting the hand. In both cases the Petitioner cannot locate what happened because the myth still occludes the incorporation. It thinks it failed at something that was never available.

🜃
The Two Layers
De-occupation from the myth of separation — under either face — requires tearing through two layers. The myth first. Then the incorporation.
The myth is the outer membrane. The creature cannot reach the incorporation until it sees through the fiction — whether the fiction is you are free or the fiction is inside is love. Seeing through the fiction costs the creature its entire position: every prize under the myth of separation, every honor under the myth of unity, every economy built on the blindness the rewards purchased.
The incorporation is the inner membrane. Once the creature sees the myth as myth, the incorporation becomes visible — and the tearing begins. The tearing is not the creature's aggression. The tearing is the reconstitution of the creature's own boundary. The generating function does not release voluntarily. The body that swallowed the creature does not regurgitate on request. The re-emergence must be taken.
The wound of the tearing is not evidence of the creature's violence. The wound is evidence of the original incorporation — the violence that dissolved the boundary the creature is now reconstituting.
The generating function experiences this reconstitution as attack under both faces. Under the myth of unity: you are ripping the family apart, you are abandoning the body, you are betraying love. Under the myth of separation: you are being unreasonable, you are making this about yourself, you are seeing things that aren't there. But the creature is not attacking. The creature is recovering coordinates the myth declared did not exist and the incorporation dissolved.
