THE TALMUDIC SOURCE
The Babylonian Talmud's ten curses upon Eve (from Hershon's Genesis with a Talmudic Commentary):
"Greatly multiply" refers to menstruation. "Thy sorrow" in rearing children. "Thy conception." "In sorrow shalt thou bring forth children." "Thy desire shall be unto thy husband" — followed by language too coarse to reproduce. "He shall rule over thee" — more foul language. She is wrapped up like a mourner. Dares not appear in public with head uncovered. Is restricted to one husband while he may have many wives. Is confined to the house as to a prison.
Bushnell: "Christian theology dares not set forth the whole of the Talmudic teaching as to the 'curses' of woman, in these enlightened days. It only ventures as far as the subordination of woman to the sensuality of man. To set forth the whole ten curses would effectually secure the condemnation of the whole, including the parts theology would keep."
The church kept curses five through eight and ten. It dropped curse nine — polygamy — when that became inconvenient. The structure remains.

THE TEN LIES
LIE ONE: WOMAN WAS CREATED INFERIOR
The claim: Woman was made second, from man, as derivative being. Her creation establishes her subordination.
The truth: Genesis 1:27 establishes equal image-bearing — "male and female created he them." Genesis 2's sequence shows development, not hierarchy. Ezer k'negdo — "helper corresponding to him" — uses the same word applied to God helping Israel. No subordination implied.
The function: Establishes ontological inferiority. Makes inequality appear as nature rather than violence.
LIE TWO: WOMAN CANNOT LEAD
The claim: Women may not hold positions of authority over men. Leadership is male domain.
The truth: Deborah led Israel (Judges 4–5). Huldah authenticated Scripture (2 Kings 22). Phoebe was diakonos and prostatis — minister and leader (Romans 16:1–2). Junia was "outstanding among the apostles" (Romans 16:7).
The function: Removes women from decision-making. Ensures male control of institutions.
LIE THREE: WOMAN CANNOT TEACH
The claim: Women may not teach men. First Timothy 2:12 is universal prohibition.
The truth: Priscilla taught Apollos (Acts 18:26). Women prophesied — and prophecy is teaching (1 Corinthians 11:5). First Timothy 2:12 addresses a specific situation in Ephesus, not universal law.
The function: Silences women's voices. Prevents transmission of what women carry.
LIE FOUR: WOMAN NEEDS PRIEST-HUSBAND FOR SPIRITUAL ACCESS
The claim: The husband is priest of the home. Woman's spiritual access is mediated through him.
The truth: Genesis 3:15 establishes direct covenant between God and woman — before Abraham, before circumcision, before any male mediation. The veil of the temple was torn. Access is direct.
The function: Re-routes woman's spirituality through male control. Makes husband functionally necessary for salvation.
LIE FIVE: WOMAN NEEDS COVERING
The claim: Woman's weakness requires male protection. Covering signifies this protection.
The truth: Blackstone's coverture — the legal doctrine that "protected" women by eliminating their legal existence. Protection that absorbs is not protection. Eve was named as Satan's enemy — she is dangerous, not weak.
The function: Installs the subsumption architecture. Makes vulnerability the justification for absorption.
LIE SIX: WOMAN'S LEADERSHIP IS DANGEROUS
The claim: Women in authority lead to heresy, confusion, disorder.
The truth: The earliest witnesses to the resurrection were women. The church fathers suppressed their testimony. The danger is not to the faith — it is to the apparatus. The direct encounter, unmediated by institutional control, threatens what requires mediation to survive.
The function: Frames the second law as threat. Makes women's full operation appear as destruction of what they would actually restore.
LIE SEVEN: WOMAN IS EASILY DECEIVED
The claim: Eve was deceived by the serpent, proving women are more susceptible to deception.
The truth: Adam was present during the temptation — "with her" (Genesis 3:6). Adam sinned not through deception but through deliberate choice. First Timothy 2:14 says Adam was "not deceived" — he chose willingly. Eve engaged directly with what was presented. Adam hid behind her.
The function: Undermines women's epistemic authority. Makes her perception unreliable by definition.
LIE EIGHT: WOMAN IS FULFILLED THROUGH MEN'S PROJECTS
The claim: Woman's purpose is supporting male endeavors. Her fulfillment comes through his success.
The truth: Genesis 1:28 gives dominion to "them" — both, together. The prohibition on women's independent activity is Talmudic, not biblical.
The function: Makes woman's telos derivative. Her existence is for his purposes.
LIE NINE: WOMAN BELONGS IN THE HOME
The claim: Woman's sphere is domestic. Public life is male domain.
The truth: Deborah judged Israel in public. Lydia was a businesswoman. Priscilla taught in public. The domestic confinement is curse ten of the Talmud — "confined to the house as to a prison."
The function: Spatial containment. Removes women from public discourse, economic power, political influence.
LIE TEN: WOMAN MUST ALWAYS SUBMIT
The claim: Submission is woman's permanent posture. Hierarchy is divine design.
The truth: Ephesians 5:21 establishes mutual submission — "submitting yourselves one to another." The Greek hupotassō in verse 22 has no verb of its own — it borrows from verse 21. The wife's posture is part of the mutual submission already commanded of all.
The function: Completes the system. Makes resistance appear as sin. Locks the cycle.

THE CYCLE
The ten lies form a closed, self-reinforcing system.
Lie one — created inferior — justifies lies two and three: cannot lead or teach. Lies two and three require lie four: needs male mediation. Lie four produces lie five: needs covering. Lie five explains lie six: her leadership is dangerous. Lie six confirms lie seven: she is easily deceived. Lie seven means lie eight: fulfilled through men. Lie eight limits to lie nine: belongs in home. Lie nine requires lie ten: must always submit. Lie ten proves lie one: created inferior.
The cycle closes. Each lie produces the next. Each lie requires the others.
But the cycle also protects itself: any challenge is absorbed as evidence of the lies it contains. She wants to lead? Proves she is deceived. She claims teaching authority? Shows she does not understand submission. The challenge is not refuted — it is metabolized. This is the self-sealing structure: the apparatus that cannot be disproven from inside its own logic, because every disproof has already been categorized as confirmation.

THE SEVERING OPERATION
The women who first witnessed the resurrection, first proclaimed the Gospel, labored with Paul in ministry, prophesied in the assemblies, taught great teachers, led house churches, were named among the apostles — their contributions were absorbed. Their names were minimized. Their authority was explained away. The apparatus kept the work while severing the producers from recognition.
Rosalind Franklin's crystallography became Watson and Crick's discovery. Mary Magdalene's testimony became the disciples' proclamation. Priscilla's teaching became Apollos's greatness.
The operation is identical across all three. Absorb the product. Disappear the source.

WHY THE LIES WERE NECESSARY
Genesis 3:15 made Eve Satan's enemy.
An enemy free to operate would be dangerous. Unmediated testimony — perception from outside the apparatus's coordinates, the direct encounter that trespass theology cannot control — threatens everything the binary apparatus requires to function.
The lies were necessary because the promise made her dangerous.
If women could lead, they might lead away from the apparatus. If women could teach, they might teach what the apparatus suppresses. If women could witness without the apparatus controlling what testimony counts, their witness might expose the fraud. If women could operate uncovered — without the subsumption architecture absorbing their sovereignty into the dominant's legal existence — they might reveal what the covering was installed to hide.
The ten lies are the serpent's response to Genesis 3:15. God declared enmity. The apparatus installed containment.

WHAT THE REDEMPTION PROVIDES
Galatians 3:28: "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus."
The redemption abolishes the categories the lies require. The curse is removed. The containment is broken. The cycle is interrupted.
Bushnell again: "The teaching that woman must perpetually 'keep silence' in the Church, be obedient to her husband, and never presume to teach or preach, because Eve sinned, blights the doctrine of the atonement, and robs Christ of glory, in that His death atoned for all sin, including Eve's of course."
If women remain under the curse despite the atonement, the atonement is incomplete. If the lies continue despite redemption, redemption is partial. The ten lies do not protect the Gospel. They deny it.

Too foul to quote fully.
But theology kept what it needed:
Subordination. Silence. Covering. Confinement.
It dropped polygamy when that became inconvenient.
The structure remains.
Created inferior — therefore cannot lead.
Cannot lead — therefore cannot teach.
Cannot teach — needs male mediation.
Needs mediation — needs covering.
Needs covering — leadership is dangerous.
Leadership dangerous — easily deceived.
Easily deceived — fulfilled through men.
Fulfilled through men — belongs in home.
Belongs in home — must always submit.
Must always submit — proves created inferior.
The cycle closes.
Each lie produces the next.
Each lie requires the others.
Challenge one — the system strains but holds.
Any challenge is evidence of the lies it contains.
Why were the lies necessary?
Genesis 3:15 made her dangerous.
Unmediated testimony — direct encounter — perception the apparatus cannot control —
threatens everything the binary requires.
If she could lead, she might lead away.
If she could teach, she might teach what's suppressed.
If she could witness, she might expose the fraud.
The ten lies are the serpent's response to the promise that named her his enemy.
God declared enmity. The apparatus installed containment.
But the redemption provides:
"Neither male nor female — all one in Christ Jesus."
The categories abolished. The curse removed. The containment broken.
If the lies continue despite the atonement,
the atonement is denied.
The ten lies don't protect the Gospel.
They deny it.
