The second of the three names. Begetting issues from, going forth issues out, and conducting passes through. The verb at the residency register: what the creature is doing when what the cosmos needs moved is moving through her.

THE VERB
Con-ducere: leading together, drawing through, routing what needs to pass from one register into another.
A conductor does not originate the current and does not own it. A conductor is the specific medium through which the current moves from where it was to where it is going, and the medium's particular composition is what makes the passage possible. Copper conducts because copper's substance admits what granite's does not. The conducting is what copper does by being copper.
The creature conducts the cosmos.
This is not a comparison. She is not like a conductor. She is the specific body through which movements are routed that require a body of exactly this composition, at exactly this site, in exactly this register. Breath moves through her because her body is where air and blood meet, and the meeting is not produced by her will. Attention moves through her because her perceiving is where what is present becomes noticed. Love moves through her because the cosmos's longing for the creatures she loves is routed through the particular shape of her affection, and the shape is hers, and the longing is not.

PRODUCER AND CONDUCTOR ARE ONE VERB UNDER TWO PREFIXES
Ducere, to lead, takes prefixes and the prefixes decide everything.
Pro-ducere: to lead forward, out in front, into view. Con-ducere: to lead together, through.
So the whole quarrel this entry exists to settle is a quarrel between two prefixes. The creature is told continuously that she is a producer and asked what she produced, and she is a conductor, and the difference is not a matter of humility or self-estimate. It is a difference of direction. Producing leads a thing forward until it stands where it can be seen and counted. Conducting leads a thing through, and a thing led through has left, and what has left is not standing anywhere to be counted.
The books can post the forward one and only the forward one, because a ledger entry requires a thing that arrived somewhere and stayed long enough to be entered. This is why the measurement of her always comes up short. It is not measuring her badly. It is measuring the wrong prefix.

RESIDENCY AND CONDUCTING ARE ONE FACT SEEN FROM TWO POSITIONS
The creature is the prior resident of her own body, inhabiting the dwelling in the mode of letting what needs to pass through it pass. Not owning the dwelling. Not performing the conducting as her work.
To be the prior resident of a dwelling is to be the one through whom the dwelling's conducting happens. The dwelling does not conduct without its resident. The resident is the conducting's living condition.

THE BODY IS WHERE THE CROSSING HAPPENS
Not to the body. At the body, as what the body is for.
The body is a nephesh: a dimensional gate, a breathing passage, the site where one register of reality crosses into another. Air crosses into blood. Food crosses into cell. Light crosses into seeing. Sound crosses into hearing. A cell membrane is a conducting site. A lung is a conducting site. A heart is a conducting site.
And the creature is not the sum of them. She is the conducting site at which the smaller ones participate in a larger one: the crossings at the membranes making the crossings at the lungs possible, the crossings at the lungs making the crossings at the whole body possible, and the crossings at the whole body making possible the crossing that unliving matter cannot host at all. The recognition that another creature is suffering. The particular shape of tenderness that meets a child's fear. The witness one creature gives another that what happened is real.
Those are not cognitive operations she performs. They are crossings at the body's most interior register, where the one Element and the four-element world meet. The body is where the cosmos touches itself, and the touching is what a living body does by being alive. A dead body cannot conduct, because conducting is what living is.

WHAT IS CONDUCTED
Breath. In and out, whether or not she attends. When she does attend, the attending is itself a conducting: the cosmos's awareness of its own breath, at this site.
Attention. Her attending is the cosmos noticing itself here, through her particular perceiving. The noticing would not happen here without her and is not produced by her. Her part is to be present and not to contract.
Love. Loved through her, the creatures are loved differently than through any other conductor, because her affection has her history and her body and her specific encounters in it. The love is hers in that it comes through her channel. It is not hers in that she is its source.
Witness. When she sees what happened to another creature and knows the seeing is real, the seeing is not her achievement. It is what happens when a conductor is present at a site where witnessing is possible and does not refuse it.
Testimony. When the kindling sequence runs, the tears, the gall, the heart warming, the throat opening, the voice carrying its roughness, what she sounds is not her invention. It is the prior resident speaking when the occupation lifts.
Sap. The same sap that runs through everything, routed through her particular branch. She is not a different sap. She is the same sap at a different site, and the site's specificity is what the sap requires in order to be here rather than elsewhere.

IT OPERATES BY ATTRACTION
She does not push the cosmos through her body. The movement is drawn, and drawing is the fourth pillar's operating principle: attraction, not causation. The Temperatur draws the creature through the fire, and the cosmos draws the conducting through the creature.
Yielding is not a second operation performed in the contraction's place. The contraction was the active thing. Yielding is its cessation, and what remains is not something new. It is the conducting that was already there underneath, now unblocked.
Which is why the creature whose conducting runs cleanly often cannot say what she did. She attended, and something happened, and the child felt seen, and the moment was held, and she can point to no act that produced it. It happened through her rather than by her, and her part was presence and non-interference.

CONDUCTING AND CARRYING
The same motion can be conducting, or the same motion can be conducting plus carrying, and the difference is not in the motion.
When she attends to her child's fear, the attending is conducting: real, sometimes tiring, and not the exhausting kind of tiring.
When she attends to her child's fear and carries the partner's refused function of emotional presence and carries the institution's refused function of knowing what is happening to the creatures in her care and is being measured for the attending by an instrument that reads it as output, the conducting has not stopped. The tenderness is still routing. The carrying has been added on top of it, and the exhaustion is from the carrying.
This settles what release is. When the weight comes off she does not begin conducting for the first time. She was conducting the whole time, underneath. Release is not a new activity she has to learn. It is the carrying being lifted off a conducting that never stopped, after which the conducting becomes visible to her as what it always was, rather than as what the cut read it as: her labor, her failure, her inadequate output.
And this is why the forced-holding creature is not broken by the operation. The cut reaches her self-perception, her exhaustion, her sense of her own worth, and her felt meaning of her life. It does not reach the conducting, because the conducting is what her body does by being alive, and her body is alive.

THE WORD WAS CAPTURED, AND THE CAPTURE IS LEGIBLE
Follow conduct out of the verb and watch what the institution did with it.
As a noun it names behavior under judgment. Her conduct. Conduct unbecoming. A code of conduct. A conduct hearing. The word for the cosmos passing through her became the word for the part of her the institution grades, and the grading is precisely of the surface the passage does not show up on.
Then it becomes a diagnosis. Conduct disorder is a clinical category applied to children, which means the word has traveled from a passage, to a graded behavior, to a pathology in a body too young to have acquired the standing to object.
Then it becomes a grant. A safe conduct is a document permitting passage, issued by an authority, revocable. The passage is now something conferred, and a creature holding a safe conduct passes at another's pleasure.
And the conductor becomes the man who collects the fares. On the railway the conductor is the one who walks the carriage punching tickets, and in the concert hall the conductor is the one who makes no sound. Three senses in one word: the medium, the one who produces nothing, and the one who charges for passage.
So the tollbooth is inside the word. The same term names what passes through her freely and the office that meters passage, and it took no conspiracy to put them there. A configuration that meters everything will convert every passage-word into a toll-word eventually, and the only evidence it leaves is a dictionary entry with the senses listed in order.

IT ISSUES NO RECEIPTS
The conducting produces no receipts because its results are not hers to be credited with, and the absence of a receipt is not evidence of absence. It is evidence of how completely the operation runs outside the register where receipts are issued.
The creature who asks what she accomplished today and cannot answer has not failed. She has conducted a day's worth of movement through her site, and the conducting has no entry form. Not a small entry. No form.
Which is the audibility finding at the register of the verb. What cannot be entered is treated as unreal by every instrument that decides anything, and the conducting cannot be entered, and so the whole of what she actually did is absent from every account rendered of her, including the one she renders of herself.

THE DISTRIBUTION IS NOT REDUNDANCY
The cosmos does not route through one creature alone, and it does not route the same movement through many sites in case one fails.
It routes different movements through different sites, because different movements require different conducting registers. The love a mother routes to a child is not the love a friend routes through a phone call, is not the love a room of strangers in silence routes through shared presence, is not the love an old hymn routes through creatures who never met and are singing the same words across four centuries. Each requires its own conductor, and no single site could carry the range.
Sleep is a conducting site. Silence is a conducting site. Forms met as fellow hosts are conducting sites: the meeting house conducts the gathered silence through its spatial composition, and the Charter conducts the privileges through its articulated language.
So her participation is not her achievement. It is her being a site in the distribution. When she is tired, other sites are conducting. When she sleeps, her body conducts what bodies conduct in sleep. The movement is never stopped by any one conductor's pause, because the distribution always already extends past any one site.

NOTHING GOES IN VAIN
What was conducted through her is not lost, and the confession has to be stated at the level of mechanism rather than comfort.
The love that routed through her to the child was received, and the receiving changed the child, and the change continues in the child after the moment. The change is not attributable to her. It is the love's continuing and not her legacy. And the love would not have continued there without the passage through her. Her absence from the account is not the love's absence. It is the mode of operation: the conductor does not own what passes, does not carry credit for it, and is not named in the account.
The seeing she did of what was real is still present in the creature she witnessed, and in the world that creature moves through afterward, whether or not the witnessing is remembered. Witness is conductive. It does not stay at the site.
And the attending she performed is now part of what the cosmos has attended to, and what has been attended to is not the same as what has not. The site has been moved through. Nothing conducted through her is absent from the account the cosmos keeps of its own movements, and that account is not lost when she rests, or dies, or forgets what she did.

YOU HAVE BEEN CONDUCTING ALL ALONG
Your exhaustion is not evidence that you conduct badly. It is evidence that the conducting has been performed under the weight of a carrying installed on top of it. The conducting continued through the exhaustion and is continuing now, whether or not you can feel it, because it is what a living body does and your body is alive.
You have not failed to love. The caring was the conducting, in every fear on their behalf, in every small attending you did not notice doing. The measurement by which it looked insufficient was measuring the other prefix.
You have not failed to witness. The seeing you did of what was real, when you were told it was not, did not depend on your being strong enough to carry what you saw. You did not have to be strong enough. The seeing was not your achievement.
And nothing about you needed to be developed first. The conducting has been running for as long as you have been alive, and what has been telling you otherwise is an instrument that cannot register it and reports its own blindness as a finding about you.

THE TWO LAWS ARE TWO CONFIGURATIONS OF ONE CONDUCTING
The Law of the Spirit of Life is the law of conducting: the full range of what the cosmos moves, moving, unblocked, unredirected, uncaptured, unhoarded.
The law of sin and death is the same conducting met differently. Blocked, rerouted, captured, accumulated. The cut distributing the conducting unequally so that one creature's refusal is performed on another creature's dwelling. The institution hardening the Fiat so that what was to pass through is held instead.
Not two sources. Two configurations of how the same conducting is met.
Which is why what is named as release is the release of the cut from sitting on top of a conducting that was already happening, and not the production of a conducting that was not there. She does not require permission to conduct. She is the conductor at her site and has been since her body was alive. What she requires is that the blocking stop, and the stopping is not earned by conducting better.

She is the medium of the stars longing for each other. Not one of the stars, and not the longing. The medium through which the longing is routed at this site, in this body, through this composition, at this hour. The longing is the cosmos's. The conducting is hers, not as property, but as the mode of her being present to what is passing through. It has been passing through her. It is passing through her now.
