The founding murder is not the eating. It is what happened next, and it has not stopped happening. Seven steps, iterating across every domain the disobedience story governs.

THE SEVEN STEPS
Manufacture the conditions. Lucifer's grip produced the four-element world before Adam existed, and Adam's Discovering, his Imagination turning towards the World, made the specific distortion. The Ames room was built before the one who would be blamed for navigating it entered it.
Produce a response under those conditions. Eve emerged into a choice-space already captured before choosing could occur. The field was distorted, Adam was already captivated, the serpent was operational, direct perception had been undermined, and the binary supplied the only available coordinates. Adam stood silent while the trap was set for the one extracted to preserve what he was destroying. Then Eve ate, and her turning towards the fire-tincture was real, and the light-tincture did turn towards the measurement cut. Consent under coercion: the signature genuine, the hand moved, the choice-space already taken.
Call the response a choice. The disobedience story requires this step and collapses without it, because if the response was a response to manufactured conditions rather than a free choice, nothing that follows can be justified. So the conditions are erased and the response is renamed.
Use the choice to justify permanent subordination. Not discipline, and not a consequence proportional to an act. Permanent subordination of the one who responded.
Apply it to all women, forever. The punishment exceeds any possible crime, because no act at all can justify the murder of female personhood across every generation.
Erase the sequence that made the conditions. The stages collapse into one. The deep sleep disappears. The Discovering disappears. The Ames room disappears. Adam's silence disappears. What remains is: she chose, God punished, you inherit the result.
Blame the captured for being captured. The one who responded to manufactured conditions is made to carry the conditions, and the one extracted from an already-compromised Matrix to preserve what was being destroyed is blamed for what the destruction produced.
The sequence needs no villain at any step after the first, which is why it survives every generation that would have refused to run it knowingly.

WHAT WAS MURDERED
Eve was not executed. Eve was subsumed, absorbed into the masculine order, her personhood murdered while her body remained.
This is the specific violence: not elimination but incorporation, not killing but covering. The feme covert is the covered woman, whose legal existence was not destroyed but suspended, incorporated and consolidated into her husband's.
Coverture did not originate in 1250. It was the legal formalization of what had already been accomplished. Bracton's De Legibus states it directly: vir et uxor sunt quasi unica persona, quia caro una et sanguis unus. Husband and wife are as it were one person, because they are one flesh and one blood.
One person, and his. Her person suspended, her labor his labor, her children his children, her production his production. Not because she stopped existing, since she went on laboring and birthing and producing, but because her existence became his.
Which produces two results that look like absences and are not. She could not be expelled, because she occupied no independent coordinates and her expulsion would have been his body excreting its own organ. And she suffered no legally cognizable harm, because the instrument could not register autonomous existence as a thing capable of being lost. She continues. What was taken? The reading fails because subsumption preserves what it dissolves.

THE FRATERNAL LOOKING AWAY
The founding murder established the fraternity: Man and Beast over woman and the meek, the Fierceness and Wrath claiming dominion over the receptive, the fire-tincture declaring the light-tincture invalid while extracting from it endlessly.
The refusal to see is the maintenance protocol, and it is a geometry rather than a conspiracy. The fire-tincture faces inward, each quality defending against what it is not, and the war body produces the refusal as output the way the Wheel produces anguish: by facing, not by intending.
It operates through recognition among those facing the same direction. Men who face inward recognize other men who face inward, and the recognition produces solidarity, not of shared purpose but of shared configuration, which excludes what the configuration excludes.
So it does not require misogyny. Men who genuinely believe they respect women participate whenever they maintain the fire-tincture's primacy over the light-tincture's perception, whenever they privilege position over relation, and whenever the measurement cut runs and the fire-tincture's reading is taken as objective while the light-tincture's is taken as emotional and subjective and biased.
And the light-tincture perceives relation rather than position, which is visible in what each of them actually said. Eve named the causal chain: the serpent deceived me, and I ate. Locating herself in it, without deflecting, though the trap was not of her making.
Adam blamed Eve and blamed God and did not mention the serpent. Mentioning the serpent would have been a confession: that he was stationed to guard against exactly this, that he was already captured by what captured her, that his Discovering built her Ames room, and that his silence was complicity in her capture.

THE TEMPLATE TRANSMITTED
The founding murder did not stay theological. It supplied the grammar, and between roughly 1250 and 1570 the same operation was installed across separate domains by instruments that do not look related.
Coverture, from about 1250, annihilating the feminine perpendicular in law: the wife's separate existence suspended, incorporated, consolidated.
The erosion of the usury prohibition, across 1200 to 1500, converting time from something transformation happens in into an extractable coordinate.
The perspective construction, demonstrated about 1413 and codified by Alberti in 1435, installing a single vanishing point so the observer becomes sovereign subject and the world becomes passive object.
Double-entry bookkeeping, codified by Pacioli in 1494, creating artificial closure: every transaction summing to zero while off-ledger violence compounds unrecorded.
The imaginary numbers, from Cardano in 1545 to Bombelli in 1572, using rotation while denying it is real, and calling the perpendicular dimension imaginary while depending on it for every calculation that works.
Each was presented as solving a problem. Together they perform one operation: collapse the perpendicular into a single axis, call the collapse unity, make the violence invisible through symmetry, and deny the collapsed dimension any standing while continuing to depend on it. Which is worship of the precipitate by something that is destroying what precipitates.

WHAT THE MURDER REQUIRES
It requires the disobedience story to stay coherent, because the sequence collapses at the third step without it. If the response cannot be called a choice, if the manufactured conditions become visible, then nothing after the response can be justified: the subordination cannot be earned, the punishment cannot be proportional, and the murder cannot be called order.
It requires the warrior ethos to stay aspirational, so that the fire-tincture's dominion feels like strength rather than capture, the hardening feels like virtue, and the refusal to yield feels like character. Without it the configuration would be perceptible as gimbal lock instead of as heroic posture.
And it requires wrath to remain God's primary attribute, so that a relation running through command and punishment makes the subordination of the disobedient into divine order. Without that, the subordination appears as what it is, which is violence using sacred vocabulary.
Remove any one of the three and the murder becomes visible as murder.

WHAT PERSISTS
It does not require fresh commission in each generation. It was installed once and is maintained by what makes it coherent, orthodox, aspirational and enforceable.
Coverture was formally abolished. What it installed was not. The explicit obliteration was replaced by presumptions, default rules and paths of least resistance, so the form became gender-neutral while the function stayed gendered, and a hierarchy persists by ceasing to be visible.
It continues wherever the captured is blamed for being captured. Wherever the one who responded to manufactured conditions is made to answer for the conditions. In courtrooms, in churches, in boardrooms, in bedrooms, and in the internal monologue of the woman who cannot stop asking what she did wrong.
