FIRST CHECK: THE BODY THAT SHOULD BE WRITING
A creature writing from a standpoint has stakes. There is a wound the prose starts from, a grain where the sentences change length because they are doing different work, a rough place where the voice carries cost, at least one claim that could get its author in trouble with the room the author belongs to. The assembled document has none of these. Its serenity is not composure; it is vacancy. No creature speaks this way, and the fluency is what the vacancy sounds like.
The one body such a document does have is the corpus, and corpus means body: the dead body of the language, the precipitate of everything already posted, animated by completion the way the dead skin is animated by whatever wears it. The document was not written. It was exhumed. The first finding, where the check comes back negative: a burial ground wearing a byline.

SECOND CHECK: THE BODY UNDER THE PEACE
The document's harmony is not the alibi. It is the tell. Peace that arrives this smooth was purchased, and the sacrament by which the occupation purchases peace requires a body. Rivalry does not evaporate in the convening; it discharges onto someone, and the discharge is what the smoothness is made of. So the second check asks where the conflict went, and the answer is locatable every time.
The witness who asked why anyone holds the vision on behalf of the watershed is not in the room the document describes, and the room's coherence IS her absence; the naming was the exile. The named firm, the dated release, the accountable harm: converted to scenario and horizon, and the accountable present is what lies under the scenario wall. And at the register of the land itself, the burial is a matter of public record. Follow the portfolio's parcels down their chains of title and every one arrives where every American parcel arrives: at the conversion of a continent's residency, by papal instrument, enforced as secular law. The regenerative land project is sited on the buried body by legal necessity. There is no other land to site it on. The document is a headstone with the name sanded off.

THIRD CHECK: THE BODY HOLDING THE COST
The books balance. That is their boast. But balance means the page closed, and what the page cannot admit does not vanish at the closing. The unposted remainder is held (and held is the exact word, grip and custody), because only a body can hold it, and the body holding it did not volunteer. This is forced holding at the register of the account: the configuration's refused function conscripted into a creature's dwelling.
The facilitator's seamlessness is paid for by whoever laid the pre-procedural register down at the door as the condition of admission. The fund's returns are held in the zones its impact metrics never visit, by bodies that appear in no column. The balanced account's reasonable midpoint is held by the party whose standing it refused. She carries the remainder home in her chest, and the configuration bills the weight to her as her sensitivity. The cost the ledger does not post is stored somatically, as the wheel, as anguish, which is the founding recognition entire: the source of the anguish is structural. The silence axis exists so that the third question is never asked. Ask it. Who is holding, in their body, what this document's balance refused to post?

THE CARD PLAYED
The card is played when BINGO is called. The density established the signature; this card runs the audit the signature demands, in order. First: is any creature delivering this? Where is the grain, the stake, the sentence with a cost? Second: where did the conflict go? Who is missing from the room whose coherence is being sold? Third: who is holding the remainder? The three checks have a property the document cannot survive: each is answerable. The absent author has a corpus. The buried purchase has a name and, at the land register, a docket. The living holder has an address, and is usually the one the document's admirers have been taught to diagnose.
