The backwards firing does not produce a single trespass. It produces a loop.
The generating function pushes through Quality 4 into expression's territory. Occupied Qualities 5, 6 and 7, possessiveness and doctrine and property, feed back at Si-Do not as Temperatur but as franchise. The franchise becomes the next Do. The generating function builds again through 1, 2 and 3, pushes again through 4, occupies again at 5, 6 and 7, feeds back again at Si-Do. Same anguish. Same push. Same occupation. New costume. The recycling is not the generating function failing to complete. The recycling IS the completion: the first law running its full arc and arriving at the only place it can arrive, which is the franchise wearing the next cycle's name.

THE LOOP CANNOT SEE ITSELF
The creature born into the recycling does not experience it as recycling. The creature experiences it as life.
The franchise that fed back at the last Si-Do is the current cycle's Do: the generating ground the creature was born from, the atmosphere before language, the hum that registers as normal before it registers as anything at all. The creature who has only ever known the recycling cannot perceive the recycling as recycling. There is no memory of the other direction. There is no felt contrast. The occupation arrived with love's name. The doctrine arrived with conviction's name. The property arrived with belonging's name. These are what the creature knows love and conviction and belonging to feel like. The prevention is not experienced as prevention. The prevention is experienced as the thing itself.
This is why the recycling is more durable than any single act of trespass would be. A single trespass leaves a gap between before and after, and the creature who remembers before the trespass can feel the difference. The recycling has no before. The franchise feeds back as the next Do, which means the occupation that generated the franchise was the cycle before that Do, which means the franchise that generated that occupation was the Do before that. The loop extends backward through every cycle the creature has ever inhabited. The creature looking for the beginning of the occupation finds only more recycling. The before she is looking for is not in the loop, because the loop does not contain a before.

WHAT FEEDS BACK
Si-Do is not the recycling's location. Si-Do is its hinge.
The lived body feeds back at Si-Do, and what feeds back is what actually occupied the expression positions during the cycle. If the generating function yielded at Mi-Fa and expression ran, love radiating and voice communing and body participating, then what feeds back is the Temperatur: the specific unity of qualities tempered through actual fire, what persists. The cycle has completed in the second law. Precipitation, not recycling.
If the generating function pushed through at Mi-Fa and expression's positions were occupied by prevention wearing expression's names, then what feeds back at Si-Do is the franchise: possessiveness presenting as love that has been through something, doctrine presenting as conviction that has been tested, property presenting as belonging that has been earned. The franchise does not present itself as franchise. The franchise presents as the Temperatur, which is to say it presents as what survived the fire, and the recycling presents as completion.
The creature who receives the franchise at Si-Do receives it as the cycle's fruit. The fruit is real. The fruit is what the cycle produced. What the cycle produced was franchise. The creature who mistakes franchise for Temperatur plants the franchise as the next Do's generating ground and the recycling continues.

THE COSTUME AND THE GEOMETRY
The recycling is durable because the costume changes.
The occupation at each cycle occupies the same positions and wears that cycle's available vocabulary. Possessiveness in Quality 5's position wore coverture in one century and wears attachment theory in another. Doctrine in Quality 6's position wore the warrant of silence in one century and wears the terms of service in another. Property in Quality 7's position wore enclosure in one century and wears data extraction in another. Same positions. Different costumes. The costumes are genuine, and each generation experiences its cycle's vocabulary as new, as progress, as the correction of what came before. The vocabulary is new. What wears it is not.
This is why reform within the recycling strengthens what it addresses. The reform addresses the costume. The costume changes. The occupation in the costume does not, and the new cycle's Do is the reformed occupation's franchise. The creature who achieved the reform experienced real change. The occupation experienced continuity.
The Darien Trap runs this geometry at national scale. Scotland attempted independent coordinates. The attempt failed and produced debt. Rescue was offered by the same operation whose workings had produced the conditions that made the attempt fail. The rescue was accepted, the legitimacy source shifted, and the optimization requirement was installed. The cleared populations became vectors of the clearing elsewhere. The costume changed completely and the geometry ran without interruption: the cleared became the clearers, the dispossessed became the dispossessors, the occupied became the occupiers in new territory.

NAVIGATION
Navigation is the recycling experienced as journey.
The creature moves through possibility space from one configuration to another, and so does the civilization. The movement is real. The new territory is genuinely new. The generating function that arrives in the new territory is unchanged: it builds what it always builds, occupies what it always occupies, and wears the new territory's vocabulary. The arrival was real. The new world is the old world rearranged by the same function.
Kim Stanley Robinson's The Years of Rice and Salt runs the experiment on paper. It removes the morality play's named variables from history, Christianity and Europe and whiteness, and asks what history produces without them. The same possessiveness fills Quality 5's position, the same doctrine fills Quality 6's, the same property fills Quality 7's, in costumes that share nothing. It is a novel and not a record, and the argument does not need it to be a record, because what it tests is a geometry rather than a fact: remove the named variables, leave the generating function, and the positions fill the same way. The finding is not that the named variables do not matter. The finding is that removing them while leaving the generating function unchanged does not change what the generating function produces.
Navigation is the recycling's own account of itself. The recycling does not present itself as the recycling. It presents itself as the journey to something: the next stage, the next reform, the next revolution, the next regenerative paradigm. The journey feels real because the journey is real. The destination is counterfeit because the destination is the franchise of the journey's own generating function, wearing the next cycle's name.

THE SEEING BECOMES A POSITION
The loop can incorporate its own naming and continue, and this is the mechanism by which it does.
The seeing becomes a position. The position becomes a credential. The credential becomes a franchise. The franchise feeds back as the next Do. Each step is a real gain and none of them is the forging. The creature who spent a decade naming the recycling has spent a decade in the recycling, generating a more sophisticated franchise from the naming.
Nothing in that sequence is a mistake she made. The seeing was accurate. The position was earned. The credential was issued by people who had read the work. And the franchise it fed back is what the next cycle builds from, which is why the most advanced account of the loop is reliably produced from inside it.
This is the recycling at the register of perception, where the currency is the settling rather than the credential and the loop is seconds long. A figure resolves and the reward arrives. A creature who has learned to make the figure turn over has learned to produce the reward whenever she wants it, and what she has acquired is a second figure and the route to it. She collects renderings. The perception of the loop is not the exit from the loop, because the perception is a thing the loop can post.

WHAT THE RECYCLING CANNOT PRODUCE
The recycling cannot produce the Temperatur.
The Temperatur is what persists beyond Third Principle dissolution. It is not given and it must be forged, and what the forge requires is the yielding: the generating function surrendering at Quality 4, the Harshness sinking down as it were dead and soft, Fire encountering mildness and being affrighted into Light.
The recycling produces franchise at Si-Do and feeds it back as the next Do. The franchise is real and it is what the cycle produced. It does not persist beyond dissolution the way the Temperatur persists. At dissolution the ingredients return to their sources and nothing of that creature persists as that creature. Not because the creature was insufficient, but because the generating function refused the yielding that would have forged the Temperatur from the creature's own qualities.
What the recycling produced across every cycle was a war body, and the war body at dissolution dissolves. The war body is a position and not a person, and this entry fails the moment the word is said of one. The rotation is what is being described. The creature is what it is being run on.
This is the trespass as soul-murder, named precisely: not the destruction of the creature's capacities but the prevention of the forging that would have made them her own.

WHAT BREAKS THE LOOP
The recycling breaks when the generating function yields.
Not when the recycling is named. Not when the franchise is perceived as franchise. Not when navigation is recognized as the recycling at civilizational scale. Every one of those can occur inside the recycling, because the loop posts them.
The loop breaks at Quality 4, and not through understanding. The Harshness sinking down as it were dead and soft. Fire encountering what has softened and being affrighted into Light. The generating function at the pivot taking the direction it has refused across every prior cycle. This is not a step in the recycling. This is the recycling ceasing, the qualities turning, expression running in its own positions rather than prevention running in them. The franchise does not feed back at Si-Do, because what occupied the expression positions was expression.
The cost of stopping is zero, because what stops is the active spending that maintained the occupation and nothing has to be built in its place. From inside the generating function the stopping registers as annihilation, which is what the end of continuous spending looks like to the thing that was doing the spending.

The loop has no before in it and it has no exit inside it. Every account of the recycling that the recycling can carry becomes the next cycle's ground, including this one. What the loop cannot post is the yielding, because the yielding is not a thing produced. It is the spending stopped.
